Gotta love the drain for its raw beatdown potential.

One trap I've found REALLY helps with this is Fake Trap, of all things. You could potentially be paying 3000 to keep your beaters in fighting position and that can get pricey. A fake trap or two splashed in will do wonders to protect your Skill Drains, and any other set traps from destruction.
 
with trap protection the only thing you'd need to worry about is having to keep a seven tools ready for any Royal Decree's, and worry about Tinzo/Jinzo's.

Also, how about a M.M. Goryu? it'd give you a single sac Heavy Hitter.

double snare should be something you should put in this deck... kills jinzo and decree... should use treeborn frog as defence since reaper will be useless... u can use it for tributes and stuff too put one more chaisaw and ohka... they are 2400 atkers why only max out on 2300 atkers. a dasher my also come in handy and my friend who has a skill drain deck put in helpoemer... tricky monsters with tricky effects... if you increase the amount of 2000+ dark monsters that you run then you might as well use ddv for more disruption.
 
'Pomie will be a tricky beast to put in. With a 2000 attacker out of a single tribute monster, you often look for more beater opportunities with your tributes. Then again, you do have a bit more staying power with the GEAF/Orc/etc., so maybe drop one of hte Orcs for 'Pomie. You can still get your potential DDV out of it and only lose 100 attack out of the deal.
