Levia Dragon Daedalus Vs. My body as a shield

...vs Levia-Dragon Daedalus?

What if you activated My Body as a Shield against Daedalus' effect? Would it work because Daedalus does doestroy monsters with its effects, even if it doesn't specifically state as such?

Or, does it not work that way since it affects more than just monsters on the field?

I suspect so, yes. My Body as a Shield works against Mega Ton Magical Cannon, which also destroys everything (not just monsters). It also works against Exiled Force, which could have been another cause for confusion, since you don't activate the card Levia-Dragon - Daedalus but rather the effect instead.

So yes, My Body as a Shield would work against Levia-Dragon - Daedalus.
