the M/T that i select and set in face-down defence position by Magical Hats effect can return in my hand if i play Compulsory?

yes u can return the spell to your hand


u could use also pinguin soldier.

I play this several ways. I bring out Malevolent Nuzzler or Horn of the Unicorn, then, when destroyed, they go to to the top of my deck (same for Axe of Despair and Horn of Light and Sword of Deep-Seated). I will usually only use one of these so I don't top-load my deck. Or, with Penguin Soldier and Desert Sunlight, I can get both of them into my hand.

Magical Hats is also a good way to get the effects of cards like Ojamagic, "7" -I think, Black Pendant and Fuhma Shuriken. It can work forStatue of the Wicked (must be destroyed while F/D, if flipped by attack, effect, not applied), Kozaky's Self-Destruct Button (must be destroyed while F/D, but if they don't destroy it, you get the 1000 point damage when the battle phase ends), but they're chancey.
