Magical Marionette
(DARK/Spellcaster/5/2000/1000)
Each time you or your opponent activates 1 Spell Card, put 1 Spell Counter on this card. Increase the ATK of this card by 200 points for each Spell Counter on this card. Also, remove 2 Spell Counters from this card to destroy 1 monster on the field.
Rulings
After last April's(?) ban list, Magical Marionette lost its main combo: Butterfly Dagger "“ Elma + Gearfried the Iron Knight. That combo alone can spell OTK. (Or Mmbdegtik) Aside from that, it really has no other big combos. With SD6's new Spell Card, it can be sure to have at least one Spell per turn, and if you draw it alongside Toon Table of Contents, you can potentially get 3 Spell Counters on it. If you have Armor Exe on your side of the field, you can keep Armor Exe on your side of the field, and you can use Apprentice Magician and Magical Plant Mandragola to keep Spell Counters coming. Being a 5-star lets it be Morphed into Fiend Skull Dragon and Reaper on the Nightmare, and that's pretty cool.
Advantages are kind of there with this card. You can essentially see it as using two of your Spell Cards to destroy one opponent's monster, and still get those Spell Card's effects. It basically is a 0-1 advantage for you, if you want to look at it that way. Or, you can create huge LP advantage, provided you have enough Spell Counters on it.
Sadly, it can cause disadvantage, too. Being a tribute always has something to do with it, and if you have not many Spells to activate, you have a dead Marionette.
When you use it, be sure to stockpile Spell Cards that you're not afraid to use. Toon Table of Contents comes to mind instantly for me. Also know when to destroy monsters or attack them. Usually, I'd say destroy face-down ones and attack face-up ones, just because it's common sense. And look out for Ring of Destruction and Magic Cylinder.
Again, a Spell Counter or Spellcaster (or in traditional, OTK) Deck are the best decks for it.
Ratings:
Advanced: 2.5/5. Won't do too much good for you, I don't think.
Traditional: 3.5/5. It's actually better here because of the OTK.
Limited: 3/5. It's easy to make an effective Spellcaster Deck with MFC.
Sealed: 2/5. Meh at best"¦

Rulings
- There is no limit to the number of Spell Counters you can have on "Magical Marionette".
- Removing Spell Counters from "Magical Marionette" to use its effect is a cost.
- You can use "Magical Marionette"'s effect multiple times in the same turn, as long as you have enough Spell Counters to pay the cost.
- You can destroy "Magical Marionette" with its own effect.
- If you activate a Spell Card, and your opponent chains "Call of the Haunted" to Special Summon "Magical Marionette", "Magical Marionette" does not get a Spell Counter for that Spell Card because "Magical Marionette" must be face-up on the field when the Spell Card is activated and when it resolves in order to get a Spell Counter.
