Hey all,

With a big help from a friend i put together a one of a kind gravekeepers burn deck and would love to find out from everyone here what you think, before i take it to a tourny:

Inferno Reckless Summon
The Grave of Enkindling

are both from the new GX packs coming soon.

Thanks before hand and who said GK's are attack base ;)

Please give me any info.

If I'm reading The Grave of Enkindling correctly, it doesn't seem to specify the summon must occur face-up or face-down. Does this mean you can Special Summon it face down and ignore the battle position restriction until you Flip Summon it later on? This might make a difference on some of the deck suggestions (Geuss what? Another Normal Trap Card that can be actvated during thre Damage Step. Let the headaches commence!!)

Inferno Reckless Summon has some issues I'd like to clear up as well.

There are a couple of options I would like to see that would speed this up a bit. Burns usually need to be quick right?

First would be a simple addition of Mystic Tomato. Since you dont have Necrovalley, I don't see a huge need for the Chief in there.

2nd, would be adding a Pot of Avarice or two. Your two new cards look like they are only to repeatedly abuse Gravekeeper's Curse. And with all the cannon flinging burn, you could have a lot of monsters in your Grave quickly, to make Avarice effective.

3rd, a simple Toon switch to help thin out your deck and still give you a useable monster in your hand.

That's risky though, since Shallow Grave special summons GK Curse face down. You would have to wait to flip it up if you wanted the burn effect of Curse.

Yes it may summon it face down, but on the upside, if your opponent attacks it you get burn, and if your oppnent leaves it alone then on your turn you summon cannonholder flip your curse causeing 500 damage, and then launch curse to cause another 700 damage and then play another shallow grave and start all over.
But make sure you have a Gravity Bind are something else like mayber Threatening Roar to prevent your opponent from attacking.

No, you may not special summon it face down.

No monster can EVER be special summoned face down without an effect specifically saying it can.

You don't see me using my Monster Reborn to summon face down, do you?

Both player select 1 monster from there respective graveyards and special summon them to the field in face-down defense position.

I believe Jason cleared out that point

Light of Intervention might help:
While this card is on the field, if a monster would be Special Summoned in face-down Defense Position (such as with "Cyber Jar" or "Nimble Momonga"), it is instead Special Summoned in face-up Defense Position.

This would allow the GK curse to get the effect right away, as well as protecting it from Ceasefire, NoC and lv2 swordsman.

I am suprised that there is no Last Will, as that would give even more ammo more quickly.

If you are not running Necrovalley, then perhaps Spear Cretin could be of use, especially with all the stall you have.

Actuyaly, it's pretty darn clear that The Grave of Enkindling, it's both ways face-up defense position. Cause the ruling for all special summoned monsters are always face-up ATK or face-up DEF. When it's a special summoned face-down DEF, it'l SAY it on a card effect. (e.g. The Shallow Grave) So if it doesn't say, it's always a face-up summon.

So, it's both face-up defense, and both cannot attack cause they're in defense, unless a card effect changes the position. (Meaning, you cannot manually change the position that turn.)

IMO, it's pretty clear.

EDIT: However, cards like Total Defense Shogun can still attack while in defense so for that card, it doesn't matter.

But yeah, Inferno Reckless Summon, I want some clarification answers.

Seen the deck design... (just read the Inferno Reckless Summon and The Grave of Enkindling) What the heck are you trying to do? Your card combos don't work.

Both Inferno Reckless Summon and The Grave of Enkindling summons monster in face-up. (IRS summons them all face-up attack, Enkindling summons them all face-up defense.) Unless you got a massive face-down effect card, this deck can't work. The Shallow Grave will do ALOT better job here.

And of course, with that many face-downs, MSlv2 would have a field day with a picnic basket here.

Yeah, what he said. Your better option is not IRS and Enkindling, but instead Light of Intervention + The Shallow Grave. Alot more solid with those two combos.

And like all burn decks, you need some stalls. Like the old SoRL, Gravity, LLAB, Messenger. (Maybe even Scapegoat if your deck isn't a swarm, I did see you tried to go for IRS swarming, but that won't work here.)
