Yeah my prices were from singles. Most commons should only cost around 25 cents. I have only been playing this game for 4-5 months. What I did was go to the Avengers sneek and ended up getting 8-10 packs for $25. I then bought about 10 more packs over a few weeks. I only do this with new sets. With what I had I was able to build a decent avengers deck for about $10 more. It didn't have avengers assembled but worked good for a learning deck.

I think blade said before that a playset of Wild Rides will cost you almost 80 bucks. Not really anymore, that was true when the set came out, but now that it's not seeing a lot of play it's dropped down to nearly $20 a playset.

You can check for prices on eBay and get them fairly reasonable from there.

There still going for $15-$20 around here so thats what I was baseing my prices off of. Some cards are like that in my area. Hounds are going for $5 at a local shop and its an uncommon. Not that I would pay that.

Yeah, well remember that most stores mark up on their singles, that's why I don't buy from dealers a lot of times unless I absolutely have to (like I couldn't trade for something I thought I could and the dealer has it for a marked up price).

I buy all my singles off eBay because of that, you'll get the price they're really worth. Hell to be honest with you, the EA Wild Rides weren't going for more than $5 themselves on eBay and I still don't think they go for more than that.

I just so happen to have a comprehensive listing of all team affiliations from a database of all cards and ruling I was making for my computer (ala Ronin). Incidently, it's at least four team affiliations per set, not just three. (It might actually be five, but I can t remember each set just yet)

Anti-Matter
Arkham Inmates
Avengers
Brotherhood
Crime Lords
Darkseid's Elite
Deathstroke
Doom
Emerald Enemies
Fantastic Four
Fearsome Five
Gotham Knights
Green Lantern
Kang Council
League of Assassins
Manhunters
Marvel Knights
Masters of Evil
Negative Zone
New Gods
Revenge Squad
Sentinel
Sinister Syndicate
Skrull
Spider-Friends
Squadron Supreme
Team Superman
Teen Titans
Thunderbolts
Unaffiliated
Underworld
X-men
X-Statix

They switch up in number of affiliations per set, that's why I said at least 3, 4 is most likely their target per set as well, but they've had as many as 6 in a single set with the Origins sets and as less as 4 (JLA will only have 4 new affiliations) so it varies.

doesnt it also mean that when they take on less teams they are most likely to add all of the support for them in that set?

cuase ive noticed that you dont see that many new cards for other teams in avengers.

2 x-static
2 crime lord

etc...

The last few sets have had cards for other teams in prior sets. They usually get 1 character and one plot twist/location.

Every set has at least 1 legacy card in it for a previous team from a previous set. That's a standard in VS System really with every set that comes out.

So yeah, there'll be legacy cards in JLA for sure, but that's not the reason why there is only 4 new teams from the set, there really isn't any reason. But what do you add under the JLA heading besides those teams I listed *Shrugs*.

the support, preaty much the less teams they take on the more support they can give them. the legacy cards like you mentioned is only a couple per team so they cut thouse out of the picture, then they make the rest of the set and add a bunch of support.

skrull how much support does it have?

Fearsome Five how much do they have?

small teams :(

From what I've seen it always four new affiliations per set, not counting some new cards for old affiliations.

More then likely. They already have thier Anti-Matter counterparts. And they have two versions of Wally West in Teen Titans already. Likely they will have Barry West as well.

Sentinel Mark V in Web of Spiderman helped out the Sentinel team. But outside that, I would have to agree...The new X-Men set will be interesting; as they re-focus on an old team.

well yea, its like mutant of the Year in Avengers, that really helps the X-statics team.

especially when you run 3x of that and 2x of Star of the show, then you got your self protection from quite a few things.

Off topic, but has anyone seen the X-Men playmats? They are sooooooooooo sexy.... I'm going to the Sneak Peek just to get one if I can.
