I just want to clear this up. In the store i play, i heard that , for example, mystic tomato or shinning angel ( or similar ) just can bring a 4 star monster by its effect...
If so, then pyramid turtle would be useless in a zombie deck...??

Thanx in advance ^^

Provided its attack strength is 1500 or below. Why is Pyramid Turtle useless? In fact, that's what makes Pyramid Turtle a tremendous card. It's effect is some monster or defense 2000 or less. You can summon V. Lord, Dragon Bone Orge and other high attack monster.

what i wanted to be sure of is that you could summon a 5 star monster with any kind of those monters (mystic tomato, pyramid turtle, etc).

Well i thought the ruling had changed, but anyway, thnx =)

The text for Mystic Tomato says nothing about having to be a 4 star. All it stipulates is dark and 1500 or lees atk:

When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can Special Summon 1 DARK monster with an ATK of 1500 or less in face-up Attack Position from your Deck. Then shuffle your Deck.

As you can see the text for Pyramid turtle is similar. It even tells you if you pick a level 5 or higher it is okay if the def is 2000 or less.

When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you may select 1 Zombie-Type monster with a DEF of 2000 or less from your Deck and Special Summon it to the field in face-up Attack or Defense Position (no Tribute is required for monsters of Level 5 or more). The Deck is then shuffled.

Remember also that with these type of cards it's the atk or def. value before it hits the field. A number of strategies depend on these type of cards besides Zombies.

I've seen a number of outstanding decks that are supported by Giant Rat to bring out nearly every card in their deck. The beat sticks in this type deck are often Enraged Muka Muka and Injection Fairy Lilly. The trample being Gyaku-Gire Panda, and monster removal Exiled Force, Hade Hane, or Nobleman Eater Bug (used of course, in conjunction with Book of Moon) or, if in a pinch, Giant Rat can summon Fiber Jar and be flipped face down with Book of Moon as well.

As well as maintaining field presence cards such as Pyramid Turtle, Giant Rat, and Mystic Tomato can thin the deck, and set up for a kill.
