Well, I'm back with another Pro-circuit qualifier tournament report. This was another rather large tournament for the north east region of the country. I believe there was at least 40 players in the constructed and 20 in the sealed.

I went down with the same group of friends that I always go with. I was running Titans because I didn't feel like making a new deck, my brother-in-law (John) was running a New Brotherhood variation, TJ was running Both Guns Blazing, and Josh was running Anti-Matter rush....

There was a great variety of decks at this tounament, there was no really dominate deck in this meta. Decks that I saw a lot of:Titans, Squad, GLOC, Brotherhood, Child Decks. Other decks which made an appearance: My Beloved, Secret Society, Doom IG.

New tech that I was this tournament: Squad taking out other team affiliations....lol.. Like we didn't see that comming.

Round 1:
I had a bye......

Round 2:
I played a child deck, that didn't hit any character except Invisible woman and Mr. Fantastic. Even if it did hit I had Speedy, Flame trap, Finishing Move, Terra to stop the child lock. I Win.......

Round 3:
I play a My Beloved deck! Not the best match-up for Titans. But I did manage to keep up with it until turn 7. It was my initiative, I had 2 Teen Titans Gos, Hank, Tim, Red Star, Roy Harper. I team attack everyone into his 5-Drop Bane (this is where I lose), I attempt to play Teen Titans Go! Fizzle (crap). I try it again, Fizzle (crap, I just lost). I really needed to get Roy's effect off to win this one. What I should have done was team attack everyone into the 7-Drop instead then I would have won, but 2 fizzles! He played one earlier too, and he never had to use Alfred to get one. Oh, well..... I Lose....

Round 4:
A Squad deck.....

This was a tough match-up, he had an excellent Squad hand. I was able to pull this one out with the help of my little friend Roy Harper and 2 Press The Attacks. Roy attacking twice at 10 atk on turn 5 won me the game. I win...

Round 5:
Damn... the mirror match...

This is going to come down to who gets the better draw. He gets odds and starts with Dove (crap he got the natural). I have nothing. Turn 2: he drops Hank, I drop timmy. Ouch. Turn 3: I drop Roy Harper, I missed Hank & Dove. He drops Timmy and Optitons for Tarra. Turn 4: I drop read star he drops Tarra. Turn 5: He drops Garth....... I scoooooooooopppp....

I drew all my tech for GLOC, 2 foileds, 2 betrayals, 2 press the attacks... there was no way for me to win with 6 useless cards in my hand.

I Lose....

Round 6:
Avengers... I have to get a decent draw to beat this deck that means that I can't miss Garth on 5. Guess what though I miss Garth on 5.... I lose....

After losing 3 games I decide to drop and go home, no PC points for me.... I'm sure I would have come out with a winning record by the end of the tournament but who cares if you can't top 8....

Poor showing in Berlin

The reason you did so poorly in Berlin was because you sucked. I watched you play a couple of matches. Let me tell you trying to bring a 6-drop out with 5 resources never works well. Its all good though, because everytime we seem to play I beat you. See ya in PA in a week.

No... your wrong I tied to bring out a 6-drop with 4 resources...lol....

btw: John's Avenger Deck is looking good for Modern...

What the--? Okay, I''m presuming that was a freindly jibe.

I'm sure I've heard of everything except Two Guns Blazing. But then, I kinda hate the names these decks get. Not sure why.

One of my firends came up with a deck called "fearful men"......lol. No wait that's what I called it after he tried teaming up fearsome-five and x-men...lol...

Gee, I wonder where John got the idea that Avengers was an awesome deck if built right!!! On the other hand DaAmazing1, your sentinel deck, which btw was John's idea, is awesome and should be hot!!!
