Probably dumb ? harpies hunting vs torrential

I have harpies' hunting ground on the field, my opponent has torrential tribute set.

if I summon harpie lady #1, can torrential tribute destory my harpie?

Only if they activate it (which being as I don't see yourself using the effect of Harpie's Hunting Ground to destroy HHG instead of the face down on your opponent's side, they'll likely activate it).

I intend to use HHG to remove TT and the attack his life points.

The question is; can he activate TT or does HHG destory it before it can?

Or would activating TT destory H lady#1 before HHG can use its effect?

Ok, to spell it out a little more...

Harpie is summoned. HHG activates, you target the face down.
Since the timing is still right to respond to the summon, Torrential can be chained so...

Chain Link 1: Harpie's Hunting Ground
Chain Link 2: Torrential Tribute

Resolution:
Nuke the field, then destroy TT.
