Hi, I have a very quick question. Can you re-arange the cards in your hand? Let me explain further, So you have on the field the trap card, Omunius fortune telling (Spelling) and you guess correctly and deal some damnage, then your opponent shuffels his cards in his hand? Is that legal? If you re-arange the cards in the card graveyaerd you lose. And if you lose from that then I think hand Shuffeling should not be legal as well.

As far as I know, you can shuffle your hand to your heart's content. But the real reason I'm replying is to let you know I'm moving the thread into the Rules area :D

Your hand is not public knowledge, unlike your Graveyard. Your opponent may look at your Graveyard as often as he wishes, as long as there is not an "effect" preventing it.

Your hand may only be looked at by effect, and even then, since it would become "public knowledge" at that point, would it really matter if he shuffles what you can already see?

Certainly you may shuffle the cards in your hand....but do everyone a favor please? Don't do it continually and be distracting and unsportsman like....that continual rapid card shuffling is annoying and is either a very bad and nervous habit....or simply just rude.

As many people that I see do it, it can't be a "nervous" habit. So, I would say, someone may have started out that way, and like anything else that seems cool, it perpetuated into what you see today....

Randomizing the hand is absolutely allowed. And in some instances may be required before you can complete an effect. For example if you have 2 Ominous Fortunetelling on the field you would choose a card, then the opponent would return that card to their hand and randomize the hand before you could choose the card for the second Ominous.
