I dunno, Fake Trap. If you just want to protect that one Trap Card I think you could use other options like Magic Jammer, but if it works for you. At least you will be safe from that. I honestly do not see your Draw Engine, I just see you have a good way of thinning your Deck to get to what you really need at the right time. Keep in mind you too get hit by your own Trap Card.

Coffin Seller, then. Its more limited in that only monsters trigger its effect. But its safer too, in that only your opponent gets affected.

Because of that, perhaps you could try something that works to re-use Cat's Ear Tribe and Spiritual Earth Arts-Kurogane. That would help to send your opponent's field to the grave.

However, your aim would be completely different than this. you would want to build your opponent's hand then burn them there (Secret Barrel, Restructor Revolution, Des Koala), when the make it to the Field (Chain Energy, Toll) or when they go to the Grave (Coffin Seller)

All in all, not an easy thing to do. Ve-ry ri-skee!

YA thanks.... Coffin Seller IS the card i was thinking of.. but I put Fatal Abacus instead....cuz I could not find the right card... what a noob mistake...

I thought when I saw this topic that some1 would build the deck that I built on YVD at the beggining of last month.

Rescue Cat has to be about advantage, Simply your drawing off of Avarice, is basically drawing for nothing.

Have you even considered 3-Humped Lacooda? Neko-Mane King? Giant Rat even has synergy with this deck.

The Dark Ruler Ha Des doesnt seem fit to me, I mean what advantage is it giving you? Just a negate a Dekoichi flip, thats all, And he will probably just Sak/Wide him.

Dark Coffin is another monster to consider in here. I know your going the all beast type, but I dont think thats the right way to go here.

Well, the whole idea is to have the Swarmability or Rescue Cat / Last Will working for me.... Pot of Avarice is there cuz of all the dumping going to the grave going on...

Dark Ruler is there for shear firepower... he is bigger than the monarchs, Jinzo, and most other tribs being used, plus no Magician of Faith, Cyber Jar, Dekoichi, D.D. Warrior Lady, Newdoria, Searchers effects, etc etc ...

Maybe I should get rid of the Manticores for a bit of Mobius abuse

It WILL swarm quickly, but you also have to consider that alot of monsters are going to the grave quickly with this deck so refreshing my monsters is going to be crucial, and that is where those Pot of Avarice come into play, not just as a draw engine, but also as a way to replenish those monsters that get dumped..

It doesn't matter if your not drawing anything that will help you later on. Rescue Cat can be comboed really well in the right setup.

Why not use the Monarchs Comboed with "Dark Coffin" for card advantage? Why not use the King of all Animals for advantage?

If your Avarcing stuff that wont help in the game at that point and time there is no need for the deck. I mean, If you keep reuseing Cyber Jar, your opponent is ganna have enough resources to take you down sooner or later. Really, I see no advantage out of the cat.. Your basically running a weaker version of Turbo pot, but just with pure beasts.

i think i understand what you are saying... this is mostly a deck I just put together as a thought, but thought it would actually run well.... maybe its something I should rethink???

Mostly I have heard that the Cat deck can run really fast and Swarm the field really quickly, so i thought that if I can combine that with Pot of Avarice I could use the swarm over and over and over, , almost like having Super Swarm with great replenishing ability... plus I figure having Exiled, Dark Hole, Lightning Vortex, and smashings, it would give me the help needed to clear out the monster zone to hurt them even more, then with the S/T removal, it would dissipate their resources that much more, but still give me the everlasting swarm that i need to be relentless....... But from what u r saying, this is definitely not the right kind of build for that strategy??

Yes, That is what I am saying, Rescue Cat advantage build is really hard to perfect. I'm still on my 10th version of the deck, and still cant seem to get it down "Perfect" or Consistant enough.

Your monster setup isn't really controlish. You spells provide alot of bad topdecks, Recue Cat alone is a bad topdeck, adding onto it is just crazy. The problem with Rescue Cat is there really isnt alot of good monsters to bring out with his effect. Neko Mane King is good, The panda is good, but they only last to a certain extent. From what I have play tested with decks like this is that 3-Humped Lacooda + Rescue Cat+Pot of Avarice have the best synergy.

I think 3 Pot of Avarices are to much, But I only run two in mine, I havent play tested 3. Coffin Seller is one of those bad topdecks, Fake Trap is another bad topdeck. Here is my suggestion to that.

- 3 Fake Trap
+ 3 Dark Coffin

Dark Coffin works well in th is format, although noone has tried it out. I mean, Dark Coffin hits the commonly played Mobius the Frost Monarch, Breaker the Magical Warrior, Heavy Storm, Mystical Space Typhoon so on and so forth.

- 3 Coffin Seller
+ 3 Sakuretsu Armor

You have the beat sticks with this deck, If you use Sakuretsu Armor, you will leave them open for a Direct Attack. With the Rescue Cat advantage, Use Giant Rat, also synergy with the Avarice. IF you are going to go into the Advantage Rescue Cat build, I would suggest to Side or Main Time Seal.
