Return from the Different Dimension

I got an archfiend soldier and face down RFDD. I attack my opponent. Damage Calculation. Afterwards, can I activate RFDD to finish my opponent off?, or should I have activated RFDD at the moment the attack was declared?

You would go back to the Battle Step of the Battle Phase after the attack with Archfiend Soldier. It is here where you can activate Return from the Different Dimension and (if the effect's not negated) get back up to 4 Monsters from your out of play area and attack with them.

You may activate RFtDD at any time during the Battle Phase so long as it is outside of the Damage Step.
