Sand Moth vs Banisher of Radiance

If Sand Moth is destroyed face down and Banisher of Radiance is on the field will Sand Moth be special summoned?

I would think not because it goes out of play instead.

Nope. The criteria for its effect to activate is "When [it is] .... sent to the Graveyard." It activates there.

but it was never sent to the graveyard it was sent to the removed from game area. instead of sandmoth, what about sangan, or any of the elemental searchers(tomato,rat,angel...)? please enlighten me.

By "It activates there.", he means that Sand Moth's effect activates in the Graveyard. If it's not sent to the Graveyard, it doesn't activate.

None of those other cards would activate. They have to be sent to the Graveyard.
