Set Berserk Gorilla Vs. Final Attack Order Vs. Airknight

If I have a Set "Berserk Gorilla" and my opponent has an active "Final Attack Order", an ATK mode "Airknight Parshath" equiped with "Axe of Dispair". My opponent attacks my f/d Gorilla with Airknight.

I explained that my Berserk Gorilla will be destroyed during Damage Step by it's own effect, even before "Final Attack Order" affects it. In addition, this will not cause a replay because we are in Damage Step already, and that Airknight's attack will just disappear without battle damage to me, hence, it's effect will not trigger.

Am I correct on this one?

Actually damage still resolves. In this case, Airknight still inflicts full damage as damage is resolved before effects from the flip. Gorilla does survive long enough to be destroyed by Airknight before killing himself in "defense suicide". So Parshath still gets his damage in and his card drawn.

Although if someone higher up in "learning" can show me wrong I'll accept it.

I think you are half right. In this case, Berserk will be switched to ATK position, and will be destroyed by Airknight's battle, rather than by it's effect, and Airknight will inflict 1900 overflow damage to my LP.

I got confused and thought Berserk's effect was a continuous one, but it was actually a Trigger Effect.

EDIT: Looking at my Battle Phase article (just promoting my article :)) This is what happens:

Damage Step:Sub-step 2: Berserk is flipped face up, then Final Attack Order force it into ATK pos.
Damage Step:Sub-step 3: Calculate damage: Berserk=2000, Airknight=2900, damage to my LP is 1900
Damage Step:Sub-step 4: Apply damage: I loose 1900 LP and Airknight effect triggers here.
Damage Step:Sub-step 5: Berserk is destroyed so no effect to resolve.
Damage Step:Sub-step 6: Berserk is sent to the GY

2900-2000=1900??
