Snatch Steal

If i play Snatch Steal on a monster and then play Giant Trunade what happens to the monster I took.
I have gotten many different answers on this question.

If Snatch Steal is returned to the controllers hand, then the owner of the snatched card will regain control of his monster. If the monster is turned face-down while under the control of the opponents Snatch Steal, he will retain control of the sntached monster.
