This past weekend one of my teammates pointed something out to me. Rope of Life in a Dark World deck. I scratched my head, but its a pretty cool idea. Has anyone else noticed that one.
Something funny I noticed

except that the discarding for Rope of Life is a discard. It can work as a supplemental, so to speak, since DW decks can quickly empty their hands, and there are lots of Fiend effects that operate when in topdeck mode. But Rope of Life will not trigger the effects of the DW monsters.

Yeah someone caught it. I've shown that on three other forums and no one caught it yet. I like being tricky. I laugh hardily.
Try typing holding a squirming 1 year old. Especially one who keeps hitting the start menu.

DJ, the start menu button is already bad enough... I'm so terribly sorry. I symphathize.
It would be cool if it worked. I mean, imagine using a ton of Dark World effects like that. That's where Card Destruction comes in, though. (Right?)

If you really want a Fiend to abuse with Rope of Life, try Cyber Archfiend.

The purpose was simple. I just wanted to see how many people really understand Dark World cards. It took me hours at my local tournament to convince everyone that it didn't work. Finally, when I got home i just had to sit back and laugh at the # of people who ripped off other people's Rope of Life's. Humans entertain me so.

I should add that if anyone feeds the bunny and I don't sig update within 24 hours, they are free to berate me through PM.
I think you'll find most people here do. The issue, really, is in getting OTHERS on board, as you said.
One thing to always remember about the Dark Worlders is that there usually isn't any debate about if a card will trigger them WHEN IT WILL. Like Card Destruction. I don't remember seeing anyone asking if CD will trigger them. But Raigeki Break has had several questionings on whether it can set them off. So, in general, the ones about which there is debate won't trigger, but the ones about which there is NOT debate will.
