Spell counter qustion?

Spell Counters are a specific form of counter. What their uses are is determined by the card that has it.

Breaker the Magical Warrior: Remove 1 to destroy a S/T on the field.

Pitch Black Power Stone: Stores 3 on there that can be moved 1 at a time to oter cards.

Royal Magical Library: Remove 3 to draw a card

Skilled Dark/Light Magician: Tribute with 3 to special summon Dark Magician/Buster Blader.

Anti-Spell: Remove 2 Spell Counters from the field to negate the activation of a spell card and destroy it.

Magical Mega Ton Cannon: Remove 10 to destroy alll cards on the opponent's side of the field.

etc.

The Spell Counter in of itself does nothing. Other card effects can use them though. Keep in mind that not all counters are Spell Counters. All depends on the text of the card that is creating them,

Nope, it is a "counter" in the sense that it "counts" something (i.e. turns, Standby Phases, Spell Card activation), it not the same meaning of word that "counters" or negates something, like the way we use it for the word Counter Trap.

Also note, that counters and tokens are two different things. Tokens are Monster Cards, whereas counters are simply things used for keeping track of things.
