Is it just me or does EVERYONE have a Squadron deck nowadays? I went to a Hobby League last night and 80% of the guys were running Squadron. =/ I guess its back to good old CE for me.

On the upside, my friend did end up without a hand in turn 1 and won by turn 3 with his Squadron deck. It was a crazy hand.
 
Blah, it's still a very beatable deck in the end. But I guess we're lucky that the Hobby League I run out this way doesn't even have the same deck represented more than twice. Around 15 or so players and they're all playing something of their own (with the exceptions of a few things).

If everyone's running Chicken (or Circus, whatever you want to call it), I suggest running lots of hate cards for it. Like 4 Flame Traps, maybe toss in a Total Anarchy for fun. Make them lose characters off the field and you're sure to have a good time playing against them. Reign them on 4 with New School or Common Enemy, if 80% of the store is all running that, you're pretty much good to go in winning the entire thing.
 
Or do whatI do when I start loosing a lot of games. Start throwing rocks till everyone agrees to play something different. Works for me. I have to report to my Parole Officer now. Bye.
 
Actually, I really want to run Doom/IJ against it. =P Always go for evens to make sure they can't recruit anything else without you doing something about it. =)
 
One card "Slaughter Swamp" stops "Answer the call" and "Pancea Potion". Plus, you could always use it for someother reason it's never really a dead card.
 
In the end, it's not consistant enough. and alot of things beat it (betreyal anyone). However, if you really wanna mess with the squadron decks I suggest running a few slaughter swamps.

Read the text CAREFULLY. Discard a card, return target character card from Ko'd pile to it's owner's hand.

When your opponent uses pancea potion, answer the call, other earth, or even attacks with albert gains, response by returning a character from their KO'd pile to their hand with slaughter swamp and watch with glee at the expression on their face.
