as we know, TER targets reaper and destroys it when reaper is Face up the on the field

but what i want to know is

once TER attempts to suck up reaper and targets --> destroys reaper, if there is another monster on the field, can u suck up that one after reaper has been destroyed?

it says suck up once per turn

but since Reaper has not been attached, would this constitute as being the suck up for the turn, or just a target, which didnt go through, so u can suck up the other monster too....?

thanx yall

Yeah, you're initial assumption was wrong.

"Thousand-Eyes Restrict" can target and suck up a face-up "Spirit Reaper". By the time "Spirit Reaper"'s effect would activate, he's already an "equip card" and as such gets no effect.

"Spirit Reaper" / "Nightmare on the Reaper" only destroy themselves if they are still face-up on the field as monsters after the initial targeting effect has resolved.

Relinquished and Thousand Eyes are very misunderstood. I was at a Tournament last week (as a player, not Judging) and one of the players was using a Relinquished/Gravity Bind Deck.

I had just finished my Match and was glancing over at the duel when I saw the player absorb a face-up Penguin Soldier. Know problem I was thinking... The next time I looked over on his turn, I saw him with another monster absorbed, AND it still had the equip card attached.

I asked what happened to the Penguin and he said he discarded the Penguin and reabsorbed another monster. I was like, "Have you been doing this all your Matches?" He said yes. At that point, I explained to him that yes he could reabsorb another monster each turn, but ONLY if the one he had absorbed was destroyed, returned to hand, etc., then he could take another monster.

I told him he could not just "voluntarily" discard or send the monster to the Graveyard to absorb another one EACH turn. Unfortunately, since I was not the Tourney Judge, I couldnt do anything about the duel at that point and the actual Tourney Judge was clueless, so they continued the duel and his opponent lost.

Apparently the player was told that he could use Relinquished like that and was apologetic to his opponent, but his misplay affected more than one duelist, it affected the whole tournament.
