The Dark Ruler Shall Be Pleased...

Ok, well I recently applied to be a member of the Lair of Dark Monarchs. And got turned down (BOO!!!!). However, the nice Dark Monarchs (misnomer?) decided to take the time to tell my what it is that they didn't like about me (Cool!). And, to put it simply, my deck building just isn't up to par, and I am too new at the game. So if I practive Fiendish deck building for 6 months or so, I could kill two birds with one stone, and get in the club, right? Well, in theory. So here goes: (keep in mind this is a very rough draft)
7 (yes, 7)
Dark Necrofear x2
Lava Golem x2
Invader of Darkness
Berserk Dragon x2

11
Archfiend Soldier x2
Shadowknight Archfiend x2
Wall of Illusion x3
Cyber Archfiend (new)
Sangan
Terrorking Archfiend x2 (new)

17
The Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler x3
A Deal with Dark Ruler x2
Reload x2
Dimension Fusion x2
Scapegoat
Heavy Storm
Giant Trunade
Emergency Provisions (new)
Nobleman of Crossout
Snatch Steal
Mind Control x2(new)

5

Archfiend's Roar x3 (the monster can't be tributed, but it still works for The Puppet Magic)
Compulsory Evacuation Device x2

Well, there it is. The idea is to get endless recursion out of the fiends. Keep in mind that Lava Golem can be summoned with Puppet Magic. Quite often, I play archfiend's raor just to get food for Puppet Magic. I also like puppet magic - ing one Archfiend to summon another, and when my opponent looks puzzled, play Dimension Fusion :). Bersek Dragon is not a problem, since LV8 monsters are always going to and from the grave. Keep in mind that 4 + 4 = 8. :D

7 Tributes is good... Might I suggest Level Conversion Lab, just in case....
I would drop 1 Lava Golem and 1 Berserk Dragon for 2 Dark Ruler Ha Des.... just so that those can be your secret weapons... and Dark Ruler can help your fiends be protected from those pesky effects that people like to have, like Newdoria, DD WL.. DD Assailant, and Sangan, flip effects, no searchers.. etc.... kill them all....

Also IMO I think Dark Mimic is good for draw power, and Shadowknight Archfiend are good cards.... but if they dont work out, you may want to think about replacing them and the Sangan with 2 Mystic Tomato and 2 Dark Jeroid / Newdoria ( I personally like Jeroid but Newdoria seems to be more popular around here).... just alternatives, may be good side deck material to change it up on your opponent.

Also, with Berserk Dragon and Lava Golem running about... it may be a good idea to run a Cyber Jar... .. that way you can get monsters in the graveyard in a hurry or on the field in a hurry... and odds are those 5 cards you draw will end up having one of them in it.....

Of course... these are just Ideas... Im not too sure on Shadowknight Archfiend.. its useful, but I think he could be a hinderance.... I like Jeroid cuz it drops any monster on the field by 800 atk... Jinzo at only 1800... makes a not so great Jinzo IMO...... of course I dont want to make this deck to mainstream cuz I like the direction you are going with it, but i also want to see it flow smoothly.... so if it is having snags take a look at these suggestion, if not, then its a sweet build....

oh... you may want to pass on 1 or more of the Deal with Dark Ruler... and sub in Soul Exchange.... using THEIR monster to get your fiends out IS VERY FIENDISH.... of course so is putting a Lava Golem on their side of the field with Dark Ruler and Tomato on yours, run the Tomato into it, bring out jeroid dropping it to 2200 ATK, and getting rid of it with Dark Ruler Ha Des... they lose 3 monsters in 1 fell swoop and they dont like it....

on that note.... Last Will.... .... . .

I have one, but it is in my Small Fiends deck (and needs to stay) but then again, so are several of these card listed. About ten of the above are proxies right now. *sigh*

UPDATE: Cards that are not performing well:
Dark Mimic - Definetely leaving for Cyber Archfiend
Pandemonium - Leaving for Emergency Provisions / Poison of the Old Man
Bark of Dark Ruler - Leaving for GGH / Waboku
Cards that ARE:
Berserk Dragon - Unbelievable. It is amazing, when they kill my necrofear, it comes back, when they kill it again, they face Berserk, when Berserk grows weak, out comes Puppet magic, and they face Necrofear all over again.
Invader of Darkness - Nobody prepares for this. And with only one, they decide not to take out their quickplays, so it keeps working.

Uh-huh. May I suggest...

-D. D. Survivor: Puppet Magic is one of my pet cards. This is SOOO good with Puppet Magic.
-Terrorking Archfiend: Oh, oh, oh...so broken...unfourtunetlly, he hardly ever lives while face-down...but I'm sure that Puppet Magic will remedy that.
-Mind Control: Who CARES if you can't sac off, it can still be used as a vessel to transport your fiends back to the field. Acts as great removal with Puppet Magic.
-Dark Mimic LV3/Desrook Archfiend: Just so that you have something to Puppet out at Level 3. Plus Desrook makes Terrorking just plain sick.
-Newdoria: The best fiend there is that doesn't have a narrow scope. He is awesome, no matter what anybody else says.

Hey pssvr, I did this. I'm responding here instead of the PM in case you need to reference this later on. I just built a deck somewhat like this and I knew I had seen one somewhere else, which was what gave me the inspiration. So thank you on that one.

As for The Dark Door option, I'm not sure how beneficial it will be. My thought would be that if you're up against a Mobius and an extra, you'll want to suicide your necrofear, get Berserk Dragon out, pummell the other monster, and then have Necrofear take over Mobius at hte end of the turn. Dark Door will definitely help you prevent any slow hands that may generate, but I think it will hurt you down the road more when you get your momentum moving. My guess is that when everything clicks into place, you'll want as much freedom as possible to spread your fiendishness everywhere.

Other than that, have you consdiered Ante in here? Even having 1 of them will make for a nice 1000LP damage plus a discard of a card of tehirs to the graveyard. I'm running 3 in my variant of things.

Hope this helps!

I hear ya, sir. I'm debating in my mind between dark door and Messenger of Peace. DArk door is more abusable with things like Berserk Dragon, but at the same time I know what you're saying about maybe wanting to get rid of it later on.

3 Antes were in the original draft. I took them out not because they were ineffective, but because I found in the grand scheme of things, what I really needed was to INcrease MY hand size, not DEcrease THEIRS. But I may try to squeeze them back, it's just that I really can't afford any more bad topdecks than I already have.

Understand. I'm starting to run into them with my build as well. MoP has soem definite potential, that shoudl keep you pretty protected until the time is right to strike. Nice call.
