This is my Burn. (haven't been around in a while)

I've only got back from my summer vacation a few days ago, and I haven't been able to log in since then. But now that I'm back, I figure I'd better get a R/F on my Burn before this coming format. So, here it is:

--17 Monsters
3 Lava Golem
3 Stealth Bird
3 Des Koala
1 Cannon Soldier
1 Spirit Reaper
1 Night Assailant
1 Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive
1 Des Lacooda
1 Sangan
1 Magician of Faith
1 Mask of Darkness
--12 Spells
3 Messenger of Peace
2 Nightmare's Steelcage
1 Level Limit - Area B
1 Swords of Revealing Light
1 Scapegoat
1 Book of Moon
1 Wave-Motion Cannon
1 Misfortune
1 Graceful Charity
--13 Traps
3 Ojama Trio
3 Just Desserts
3 Secret Barrel
1 Ceasefire
1 Magic Cylinder
1 Ring of Destruction
1 Mirror Force

--Side Deck
2 Ancient Lamp
2 Gyaku-Gire Panda
2 Des Wombat
1 Morphing Jar
2 Giant Trunade
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Forced Back
1 Barrel Behind the Door/Threatening Roar/Chain Disappearance >>I'm not sure which threat to counter more: Ring+Burn Side Decks, Stein, or the pesky Mystic Swordsman?

Please help.

EDIT: Current considerations for alternatives:
Chain Energy
Mask of Restrict

looks like a solid burn to me the only thing i would change is dropping dekoichi for another des lacooda and i would try to fit in another wave-motion cannon also i know my friends burn deck works really good with chain energy's

Chain Energy would definitely be something to look into. I just don't have any, right now, so I haven't tested with them.
Besides, my kills usually happen in the 500-1000 LP range, not >500. But, for those times that my opponents get below 500, who knows?

I guess I'll try one if I can get it.

Anyone else?

Well, in my experience with my own burn, chain energy isn't so much about dealing damage (it can hurt you almost as badly as your opponent) as it is for having another lockdown tool/psychological advantage. Your oponent is likely to either disregard it until his lifepoints are too low to play any more cards, or second guess everything he plays, which can lead to mistakes.

im not sure about your trap line up. i would either drop a mirror force OR a ojama trio for a gravity bind. My justification for this is because you run 3 lava golem and if you dont have anystall while you have lava golem out, then....well....its over lol.

Your side deck looks pretty nice although it looks like it wont counter any type of decks you're worried about.

you should put in one or two bottomless trap holes because of the chance of phoenix to cme back, and even if phoenix doesnt turn big, you can take out pesky monsters.

You dont need heavy storm, MAYBE trunades. Yea yea, decree ooooooh so scary. but playing heavy will take out your crap as well. might as well run spiritualism. You should have answers to monsters and spells and traps but you shouldnt have to destroy your own field in order to survive.

you should drop forced back, heavy, and morphing jar in your side deck so you would have room to put in things that will stop swordsman, burn, and stein. (although you are a burn deck, so stein shouldnt work anyway).

Also, i agree, you should add another wave motion in it, keeps ppl on their toes. Chain energy MAY work, but its one of those cards that will destroy you if you play too many, or may do nothing if you play one. psychological warfare is nice, but not when they have heavystorm in hand lol. but yea your choice on chain enery, I love it, but its all you.

Gravity Bind is all well and good until Jinzo/Decree/Mobius makes an appearance. Most everyone I know runs Jinzo and I don't see them changing that, anytime soon.

Phoenix is not my concern. Tribute it for Golem; threat gone. Wreck it with Lamp/Panda; threat gone. Plus I still have a Bottomless.

I usually save Heavy for the Panda kill, and I've been getting a LOT of those. I'll also play it when my opponent clears my field and sets a lot of junk in the back, somehow thinking that I have no way to remove it. (That happens more often than you think.)

Forced Back is for Jinzo/Mobius/Spell Canceller. They've been popular counters to my deck.

Morphing Jar has always had some use from a speed perspective. Will my opponents get stuff that they need? Usually. Will I get stuff that I need? Always. It just works out that way.

As for Waves, they're too slow. Yes, they can inflict HUGE chunks of damage, but it takes several turns for that to happen. If I get it out, fine, but it doesn't divert any S/T removal from my Stall cards; Heavy, Trunade, and Mobius usually don't care about that, and MST still goes after the Stall cards if my opponent's ready for the kill.

Maybe I could use another Panda?

nah, stick with two, pandas are crzy ( I love them) but they are not the best draws, you would rather want to keep room for other burn cards .

if mobeezy and jinzizzle are your biggest threats.....MASK OF RESTRICT. lol ok, ok not the best card out there, but you just hindered 2-3 mobius, and 1 jinzo. now all they have left is mst and heavy storm.

the trick is to use it AFTER lava hits the field, or if you just arent drawing into any

Hmmm...

I have seen a recent flurry of Enemy Controller use; wouldn't want that getting rid of Ojama Tokens now, would I?

I'll try Mask of Restrict, again. I'm not sure if it CAN work, but I'll see what happens.

Anyone else?
