tokens vs Soul Absorption

i do gain Lp since tokens are removed from play correct?

this card was in my "Mommy I don't need monsters" deck and i never drew it to bring up the ruling on whether i gain lp so i was jw

Tokens are not removed from play. They are simply removed from the game. Therefore you do not gain Life Points through Soul Absorption when Monster Tokens are removed from the field.

Soul Absorption looks to see how many cards are sent to the Removed From Play pile. Tokens never go there. They go back in your shoebox or in your pocket or wherever. Tokens don't exist anywhere except on the field.

"Removed from Game" is still a "removed from play" area.

It is better to say that Tokens "cease to exist" when they are removed from the field.
