Warrior Toolbox On A Budget

A young kid in my town has asked me to help him with his warrior deck. Basically, he has the warrior structure deck, but wants to make it more of a wrrior toolbox deck, but on the cheap.

I have no experience with warior decks, as I refuse to run any decks that fall into the CC section of the meta....I like to be different.

So guys and gals, what needs to be removed from the warrior structure deck, and what needs to be included, to make the structure deck more of a warrior toolbox ? Please keep in mind the budget nature of the deck, so no suddestions of dd assailants, dd warriors and what not.

If a cheaper version of the card is available, say a dark beginings/revelations version, suggest that instead.

I want this kid to finally havea deck that he can win with....his previous attempts have be woeful to say the least.

Hmmm... you could allways purchase a second warrior stracture and make a nice Gearfried deck... That would look like this:

Monsters (18)
2x Gearfried the Swordmaster
3x Gearfried the Iron Knight
1x D.D. Warrior Lady
1x Exiled Force
2x Goblin Attack Force
1x Mataza the Zapper
2x Mystic Swordsman LV2
2x Command Knight
3x Marauding Captain
1x Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight/Obnoxious Celtic Guard

Spells (17)
2x Divine Sword - Phoenix Blade
2x Fusion Sword Murasame Blade
1x Snatch Steal
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
2x Giant Trunade
1x Heavy Storm
2x Reinforcement of the Army
2x The Warrior Returning Alive
1x Lightning Vortex/Dark Hole (the hole is really easy to find and I would recomend it over the vortex)
1x Swords of Concealing Light
2x Release Restraint

Traps (5)
1x Call of the Haunted
2x Sakuretsu Armor (you can find these in Dark Revelations 1)
2x Royal Decree

All in all 40 cards and in good budget! Hope this helped

it helps in a little bit.....he might be able to purchase a second deck, but he doesn't want a deck based around gearfried....he wants warrior toolbox

Unless there are other playable warrior deck types, toolbox is what I want him to have

i realise toolbox's aren't that great, but neither is this kid....toolbox's don't really require much thought on the part of the person using the deck. al he has to do is work out what warrior he needs from his deck to do the job, and use RoTA to get it to his hand...the kid is no rocket scientist...the easier the deck is to play the better

Can't think of anything other than chaos or ninja... Allthough ninja themed decks aren't the easyest of themes... And chaos would really benefit from some expencive light/dark warriors... *sigh*

okey dokey, time for a personal fave the warrior boost beatdown

basicly looks something like this
Monsters (18)
2x Gearfried the Iron Knight
1x Blindly Loyal Goblin
1x Exiled Force
1x Goblin Attack Force
1x Mataza the Zapper
2x Mystic Swordsman LV2
3x Command Knight
3x Marauding Captain
1x Obnoxious Celtic Guard
1x Mystic Swordsman LV4
1x Breaker(you can get those relativly cheap)
1x Cyber Jar
Spells (17)
2x The A. Forces x2
2x Fusion Sword Murasame Blade
1x Snatch Steal
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
2x Giant Trunade
1x Heavy Storm
2x Reinforcement of the Army
2x The Warrior Returning Alive
1x Dark Hole
1x Magic Reflector
2x Gaia Power

Traps (5)
1x Call of the Haunted
2x Sakuretsu Armor
2x Royal Decree

basic premise is to use the boosting cards to overpower anything your oppoent throws at you. its worked really well for me in the past and is rather cheap to aquire too.

Um, Warrior Toolbox is definately a good deck....it's won an SJC, that counts for something. When played right, it can get out of almost anything.

oh yea, no doubt the deck is good, but its not something a novice should run.

Try more something a bit easier with less thought. Soul Control takes very little thought and its very inexpensive since most of the cards can be gotten for dirt cheap.

you can even make substitutes of cards you dont have like the D.D. Assailants. :)

not to mention you can make it soulcontrol / Warrior Box. That would be even easier.

OR you can go the even easier way and make a Last Turn deck :D

Warrior Toolbox on a budget is a difficult thing to do. It functions well mostly because of the expensive cards within. In my opinion the best choices for a toolbox are:
DDWL
DDA
DDS
Don Zaloog
Exiled Force
Mystic LV2

useful alternates:
GAF
Mataza
Blade Knight
Sasuke Samurai #4
Zombyra the Dark
Ninja Grand Master Sasuke

If you can get any of more desired cards of course put them in but I will try to help you with mostly commons and rares. I will not be putting Maruading Captains in this deck because they promote bad hand management and over extending, this in the hands of a unexperienced player spells doom. I am not using the best choice for monsters in some cases but am going for maximum versatality. This should do pretty good as a base deck and will be easy to play for an unexperienced player as it has a lot of good options and very few poor top decks. If nothing else I hope it gives you somewhere to start. Hope this helps.

Monsters 19
Mobius X2(common from stucture deck)
Chaos Sorcerer(common)
Zombyra X2(common, very good w/all the Cyber Dragons out)
GAF(this would be the first thing I replace w/upgrades)
Blade Knight X2(tin, harder to get but at least not to expensive)
DDWL(common)
Chiron/Breaker(not a bad replacement until he can get breaker)
DD Survivor(rare)
Ninja Grand Master Sasuke X2(rare)
Sasuke Samurai #4(rare)
Mystic LV2(rare)
Exiled Force(common)
Mataza(rare)
Sangan(common)
Spirit Reaper(common)

Spells 13
RotA X2(common I think)
TWRA(rare)
Dark Hole(common)
Premature Burial(common)
Snatch(common)
MST(common)
Swords(common)
Fissure X2(rare)
Nobleman of Xout(common)
Heavy Storm(common)
Book of Moon(rare)

Traps 8
Dust Tornado X2(rare)
Sak Armor X3(common)
Torrential(common)
Call(common)
Trap Hole(common)

freed the matchless
choas sorcerer

m capt x3
Command Knight x2
mystic lv2
x force
dd warrior lady
Dream Clown
breaker
m of faith

mst
heavystorm
reiforcement of the army x2
a forces x2
Reload
The Warrior Returning Alive
Lightning Vortex
sorl
socl
level limit area b x2

Call of the Haunted
Gravity Bind x2
m cylinder
Divine Wrath
s armor
ult offerings (one or two)

thats not 40 but its something to work on

not all of them are commons but most of them are on structure decks

the only things not on structure decks are freed the matchless a forces and i think level limit area b

the one i put is simple and very effective

if the kid doesnt start winning with it
he should quit lol
