well, here it is...

whoa, whoa, whoa... 11 tributes... there are 12 tributes in the deck buddy, but so long as you believe me that it works we are fine. what doesn't seem good about this deck?? because i want to know so that i can change it before this saturday, regionals. any other comments??

I love the Prickly Fairys. :D

I would try fit Enemy Controller(s) as i see that it can be quite useful in this deck.

Soul Exchange is a nice fit in the deck, since you are running the monarchs. Works out nicely. ;)

IMO, a Monster Reincarnation could be useful, if your Monarchs are tribute summoned, but u need there effects later game, MR could help out.

I was thinking you would need a Lightning Vortex, but since you have Soul Exchanges and all those Monarchs, i dont really think that it will affect your overall gameplay that much.

Other than my comments/suggestions, i think you have a real solid deck. Nice job!

true, but still... the reason is, you can always end up with an oddball hand of drawing nothing but tributes in your opponening hand and nothing to back it up.

of course, its on preference ive gone as far as 5 tributes and i know how horrible it is to keep drawing monster that wont be summoned.

yea you can count the Cyber Dragons as good topdeck's / special summon monsters, but beyond that, its tough, what if it get bottomless and you have not way to get it back,

i dont know. its just alot of tributes its all, its why i said i was surprised i didnt see Dimension Fusion and card of sancity.

that would just make an OTK style deck, were you can mad flood the field with all the dope tribute monsters at one shot.

I've always kinda liked the idea of Special Summoning a Gilasaurus and using that as tribute fodder for a Zaborg the Thunder Monarch. Gilasaurus doesn't look like much, but it has nice multi-combo potential.

1. Gilasaurus + Soul Exchange (the monster your opponent summons via Gilasaurus.) = big two-tribute monster (if you wanted ;))

2. Gilasaurus + Bottomless Trap Hole (obvious) = potentially remove one of their best monsters from the game

3. Cyber Dragon + Torrential Tribute + Gilasaurus (clear the field, get out Gilasaurus, tribute for Zaborg the Thunder Monarch to take out their monster.) = mass monster removal that leaves you with a 2400 ATK beatstick

-Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
+Zaborg the Thunder Monarch

-Dark Ruler Ha Des
-Berserk Gorilla
+Gilasaurus x2

Why not give it a try? :D

I've commented on the subject of "too many tribute monsters" on another thread recently. The problem isn't necessarily that there is too many tribute monsters, the problem is that 99% of people don't know how to either build or play a deck that focuses on them.

It's certainly possible and can be very effective to play this many tribute monsters IF you know how to build the deck and play it. It helps too if the tribute monster has such great effects as these.

The one deck that I've made that focuses on tribute monsters and getting them out on the field also sports 2 Creators in it and brings those heavy hitters back often.

In the side deck you might try a couple of Reasonings or Monster Gates.

i will try some of these fixes, though i am a little skeptic about them, but i will try them. thank you very much for your suggestions so far

hey patman, is that the deck you trounced me with on Saturday? If it is, folks, this one is dangerous. He brought tributes out at will.

I would have to say... with all those tribute... and running 3 Soul Exchange... how about Monster Gate... + Soul Exchange.. makes for a free special summon, then you can Tribute whatever you want for your regular summon.....

Overall Really solid... I like the deck....The most tributes i have actually run was 11 . . . and that was my Spellcasters Deck... but i was also running Reasoning and Monster Gate... with no Soul Exchange... but it was solid and it was fast...So, ya, I like your deck.... the only fix / suggestion I may have is for you to try 1 Reasoning.. .. ya .. instead of Monster Gate... Sure you get to tribute one of their monsters with the Soul Exchange combo, but how often will you have both in hand ya know.. plus Reasoning works just as well and you will still lose the same number of resources by using the card... blah blah... anyway... my suggestion is to try 1 Reasoning... ( its amazing how fast it can make a deck...)

yeah sirch, this is the deck i was playing on saturday.

kingpinopie- i like the idea of Reasoning/Monster Gate, but the only problem with those is that i don't get monarch effects with them, but i will try them, thank you.

Whoa that's one serious tribute deck.

-2 Prickle Fairy
+2 GK Spy
GK Spy makes tributing quicker and easier.

-3 Random Tribute
+3 Blowback Dragon
Blowback is my favourite monster :D It's not bad, consider it.

Also, how come no MST, SORL and Morphing Jar, I think they should be pretty helpful.

Nice deck 9/10

i am thinking about adding another Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch, is this is a good idea, or at least a fun one??

responses are needed.

That's typically what you'll see instead of the Rock Monarch. You're already using your opponent's monsters for tribute and getting them out of the way with Brain Control and Soul Exchange as well as over coming them with heavy hitting monsters, when you use Soul Exchange or Brain Control to tribute your opponent's monster and summon Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch you get a double whammy by then taking a card out of their hand and if you're lucky a few hundred LP damage as well.
