Well how about this.

There was some debate over the veracity of this, but after digging some, I think it is true. An e-mail was sent out listing what cards would be banned from play in Worlds 07. What I found interesting was that it was just a listing of TCG cards (those playable in the UDE Territories).

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon
Crush Card Virus
Dark Magic Curtain
Defender of the Forest, Green Baboon
Des Volstgalph

Elemental Hero Electrum
Elemental Hero Mudballman
Elemental Hero Ocean
Elemental Hero Stratos
Expressroid
Five-Headed Dragon
Flame Viper

Grandmaster of the Six Samurai
Javelin Beetle
Javelin Beetle Pact
Judgment of the Pharaoh
Kaiser Dragon
Legacy of Yata-Garasu

Yeah, that's 48 Cards. I know it may not seem like much compared to the list I'm sure the OCG has. But let's take a look at this.

2 - Grandmaster of the Six Samurai and Volcanic Rocket. TCG Exclusives so these aren't a suprise.
1 - Expressroid. This card is a Rare in Gladiator's Assault (which was just released) but it's believed that it will be included in the Syrus Truesdale Starter Deck so for anyone who might have gotten it before the release date, sorry.
2 - Des Volstgalph and Crush Card Virus. SJC Prize cards that haven't been mass reprinted.

Ok, so those 5 can be expected. But the remaining 43? McD Promos. Shonen Jump Promos. The forthcoming Premium Packs. (Almost all of those are controlled by Shuiesha). As far as I know, the mass release for those were just in the US and Canada. Granted, the significance of this really is minimal since most of us won't be at Worlds. But it is pretty interesting to see that there's such a gap even within the TCG itself.
