OK, does anybody knows, why it is so difficult for Upperdeck to announce what will be the promo for the SOI sneak?

They usually announce it around a month before the event, but this time it appears to be they are undecided.


Any ideas?
 
Doesn't it also have some other effect when attacked face down? Does anyone have a translated text of Ancient Lamp?
 
I'm truly surprised they are giving us Ancient Lamp as it seems UDE/Konami has purposely held back on giving us any of the cards that allow you to redirect your opponent's attack back at one of their own monsters. OCG has had many of these for a long time now.

I do wish we could have gotten this back when an 1800 Attacker still had clout. Even with the Lamp I can't see LaJinn decks making a comeback.

Have you ever played the original Power of Chaos: Yugi for the PC? Ancient Lamp was a great card. It also allows you to Special Summon LaJinn. Though I'm sure it will see quite a bit of Tournament time as it is a fantastic effect to be able to protect yourself while quickly whittling down your opponent's field, it was truly fantastic during the time that LaJinn was still a powerhouse in Beatdown (sadly eclipsed by oh so many 1900+ monsters now).

Wind/Spellcaster/3/900/1400
When your opponent's monster attacks this card in face-down Defense Position, you can designate another of your opponent's monsters as the attack target instead. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Special Summon a "La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp" from your hand.

It's almost funny since you have a few post on the Thread that Ancient Lamp was mentioned on.

So... it is Ancient Lamp. Can some one point me to where they published this information, I have many duelist that will go to the sneck dependong on the card and we have got all kind of rumors around my store.
 
I believe Dan Scheidegger from UDE, posted it to a Yugioh Website, so it's unofficially, "officially" announced.
