So does this combo work? I'm having some doubts since Woodland Sprite doesn't say if the equipped card sent to the graveyard counts as a destroyed card.

It would depend. If you were following the official tournament procedure and say you lost the 1st round of the match and in the second round you pulled off the combo to make your life points 1 billion (some ridiculously high nuber like that). Time expires while you are still in the second round with neither player able win on that turn. You would lose the match overall because you lost the first round of the match. Now if it were the first round or the third and you both had won the same number of matches then you would win due to having the higher life.

Again, if you go strictly by the YGO Tournament Policy in scenario a, then no. The life point lead doesn't matter in the second round if time expires.

However, the judge of your event may not follow the policy strictly (esp. if it's a local event with just a few a people). But keep in mind the official way of determining winners when time expires:

(This is from the latest downloadable policy on YGO Tournaments when time expires)
When time is called at the end of a round, the current turn of each match still in progress is completed, and then play stops and the match winner is calculated using the following process:

· A player wins the match if he or she has more game wins than the opponent.
· If both players have an equal number of game wins, then the player with the most life points in the current game is the winner. If the life points are tied, continue playing until the players have a difference in life points.
· If both players have an equal number of game wins and are between games, then the next game should start and the match winner will be determined by the first change in life points.

That's what I wanted to know. The policy had confused me about it. Thank you.

This combo won't work because "Woodland Sprite" does not destroy e equip spell card, it just send it to the grave yard.

But if you realy want to use this combo there is a way to do it, it is far more complicated but not imposible to pull (I have won a tournament with it).

"Gearfried the Iron Knight" +"Butterfly Dagger - Elma" + "Royal Magical Library" + "Sword of Deep Seated"/"Horne of the Unicorn" + "Woodland Sprite"
