Ygo Gx Packs??

hey all..i was looking at the target ad today and there's this target exclusive booster value pack that has 4 YGO GX BOOSTER PACKS and 2 "original" ones..yugi and jaden are on the package..are those actual cards that you can make a deck and duel with or are those just like those cards that have yugi and jadens' pics of them from the shows...im confused...
 
They are basically "reprints" with some new E-Hero and a few other cards in them, like Armed Dragon LV10.

I do not think they are the Duelist Packs since they have not released any word on the exact release date for them in English, but this sounds like another product that Target and Walmart put together in conjuction with Upper Deck to sell. However, if the Duelist Packs are part of them then by all means get it. The GX packs unofficially started at TLM toward EEN at the moment. They are basically a small release of a new booster if you want to look at it that way. While it reprints some old cards they do offer new cards like Magical Mallet, which if it is not a COST like Emergency Provisions will be seeing play quite a lot given it is unrestricted. That would replace Reload if anyone still uses that. Then there is Armed Dragon LV10 which is no joke. We get all of the Elemental Hero Bubbleman support in Jaden's as well. Too bad we still need to find a way to release Elemental Hero Mudballman and Elemental Hero Elixer in the TCG.
 
E-hero Mudballman is supposed to be released in one of the next GameBoy Advanced game as a Promo, but it comes in the Game Guide...

That is old news. Really old news. Notice I said TCG. I already know Elemental Hero Mudballman came out seeing how it is in one of my binders in my OCG set. I wanted it in the TCG, most likely replace that alternate art of Winged Kuriboh. There goes that. So the TCG probably will not get Elemental Hero Mudballman for a long time.
 
yea they will, once the game is released in North America.

remember the games in japan usually have like a 4 month jet lag.

I remember playing The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap about 5-6 months before it got released here.

Heck people thought I was lying when i told them i had passed it. Proved them wrong when I knew the entire story line from beggining to ending and how there are Incomplete sidequests in the game. :p

Now you are confusing me. I have no idea what you are talking about. I am talking about Elemental Hero Mudballman never being released in the TCG unless through some other means. It will not come out in any other form, even in the latest GBA game coming out in Jan in English. I would have liked Konami to replace the Kuriboh promo for Mudballman, but they decided no to that.

okay were is Mudball man released in?

the book or the game?

if its the book, then consider it non release for a few years or months. considering that D.D. Warrior was an oldschool promo now finaly released in TP pack. so expect it much later then.

if its the game, then itll be in a few months when the game is released.

you got any links to the game info?
 
I thought I already explained this as much as possible. We are not getting Elemental Hero Mudballman. The promos for the new GBA game are Elemental Hero Necroshade, Winged Kuriboh, and Hero Ring (Halo). He was in the strategy guide. It would have made more sense for Konami to change Winged Kuriboh for the TCG release of the game and replace it with Elemental Hero Mudballman.
 
I was curious about this, so I did some detective work while i was at Target today. Turns out there is a box for sale that advertises 6 packs of cards in a box with GX characters for the artwork. They advertise it as GX cards, but if you look at the side you'll notice what you get is 2 packs of The Lost Millenium, 2 packs of Elemental Energy, and 2 older packs. While this isn't bad per se (the price for the 6 packs after all is very reasonable), you don't get the Duelist Packs that masterwoo0 was kind enough to provide a spoiler for.

On a side note, anyone know when the Duelist Packs are slated for release?
 
Wait. They skipped Cybernetic Revolution? What kind of wacky product is this? I say forget that. If you wanted GX cards you could wait for the Duelist Packs and get reprinted a lot of your Elemental Hero cards you wanted, let alone finally easier to obtain VtoZ parts.

interestingly enough tho..when i bought it i got 2 extra lost millenium packs with it so i got 8 packs instead of just 6....pretty nifty but i didnt get anything good.....
