what do you mean garzets orginal attack isnt 0? the card states 0 and that is what determns the original attack isnt it?

well you see thats the thing. Maju Garzet gets turned into a 200 and later into a 0 if he attackes. a equped monster gets turned into a 200+bonus from equip. the question really is if the monster boosts relinquished as a equip card. or that it boosts due to relinquisheds effect like gazet...

Re: "Non-Spellcasting Area" yes ritual/effect or fusion/effect are considered effect monsters but still there should be plenty left wich can work out fine.

say relinquished has stolen a blue eyes and has 3000 attack (i like using blue eyes in examples) and ur using the 3000 relinquished to attack the cats ear tribe. what would happen? does relinquished go all the way down to 200? or would his orrginal attack be considered 0 and cat actualy boosts...

upon checking the rulings. yes gravekeeper's assailant can use its effect even if necrovalley is being negated <though it sure as hell go's against the way the card is writen.but thats more good news then bad>

well so much for the thumb rule of not activating anything but attack/def modifiers during battlephase. this appropriate activation thing only counts for counter traps right?

actualy i believe those monsters dont have anything of a effect close to jinzo. they just safe themselfs from torrents and trapholes. but thats just my teory.

im just curious. if my opponent where to attack with a blue eyes, and i activate mirror force. could he activate gravity bind in a chain to stop his blue eyes and make mirror force fizzle?

the counter cards indirectly invluence the attack/def of the monsters by stopping the cards wich are trying to boost them. wich seems the only logical reason why they can be activated. not the fact that they are spellspeed 3
