Tis true. Insects have yet to become a playable archetype, at least in my eyes. When looking at a deck, unless you're a casual player, you have to ask yourself: "Could this deck win a Regional?" And insects certainly cannot at the moment. Hopefully they'll get some REAL support sometime soon.

It says right on the card it's a special summon, so you could normal summon Kaibaman and sac him to special summon BEWD in the same turn. And yes, you can use his effect while he's face down.

No, they can still discard a spell from their hand in order to get the effect of the first spell that you drained. This discard is not a cost as I mentioned above, and is uneffected by Goblin of Greed.

Magic Drain can still be activated because discarding a spell card for its effect is not a cost.
