Have you tried this deck with A Feather of the Phoenix? It would probably help with all the high level monsters (especially Dasher). Even Night Assailant will help with the cost. It would also help re-using The Creator since it cannot be special summoned from the graveyard.

I thought Cannon Soldier can only activate it's effect on priority when it is summoned. If another monster is summoned, only the new monster that is summoned should get priority (which he can't do anything since Drillago does not have a trigger effect). Please correct me if I am wrong.
