2 players using final countdown, 1 uses a pyro clock....

Ok here is the situation:

Player A activates final countdown in turn 5 and it is not negated.
Player B activates final countdown in turn 6 and it is not negated.
In turn 11 (count 13 left for A and 14 left for B), player B uses 2 pyro clock of destinys. Would this change the turn count to :
: 13 for A and 12 for B
: 11 for A and 12 for B
?????????????????????????????????

Although our current theory on how this card operates is based on the Final Countdown ruling, the card itself states nothing about "Controller's Turns". Just thinking it would be a good way to confirm what has been put forward. The current rulings simply state that
You can only use "Pyro Clock of Destiny" to advance the turn count by 1 for "Swords of Revealing Light", "Lightforce Sword", or "Final Countdown".
I can easily see the argument at the table when you use Pyro Clock to advance the turn count for your Final Countdown while you are protecting yourself with Swords of Revealing Light and the opponent argues that your Swords has to be affected too.

I can also see the argument that pyro clock, like Last Turn and Bait Doll, is just too unusual of a card for it's own good. But seriously, we have a ruling that pretty conclusively proves pyro clock only manipulates the turn count of it's controller.

how about: "Move one turn count forward"

So if 2 Final Countdowns are in effect Pyro Clock can only move one of them. (And of course you're going to advance your own, right?)
Unfortunately it's not Official in English.

The JERP text is useful, but can't be used here. Both the English text and rulings suggest the the entire turn count itself is moved forward by Pyro Clock. So both FC's would be affected, or any other turn counting effect.

That is how it works now, why not appeal to UDE and see if they change it.

Also, consider that it may be the JPN text that may be incorrect... the English text might actually be the correction of that... ;)

Perhaps they've already made the ruling to make it affect only one card, but it's worded badly:

Pyro Clock of Destiny said:
1. You can only use "Pyro Clock of Destiny" to advance the turn count by 1 for "Swords of Revealing Light", "Lightforce Sword", or "Final Countdown".

Note the "or". This ruling is saying that you can only use Pyro Clock of Destiny with these three cards, AND Pyro Clock of Destiny affects only one of those cards (selected by the controller of Pyro Clock upon activation) when activated.

Maybe? If that is the case, just appeal to make it clearer. Split it in two and specifically say that Pyro Clock of Destiny only affects one card in a separate ruling.

Beacuse if the sky wasn't blue then it would be doughnuts. (???) I guess what I'm trying to say is, without being sarcastic (yet somehow failing miserably) is who cares? It's the present ruling for the current mechanic. Since when do we use "set order" to explain the function of a ruling.

Did we ever get a clear answer on this? From re-reading the thread, I'd say no. Was this issue ever posted to the Judge's List?

[edit]Did we agree this card increases the turn count of only 1 card on the field by 1? No matter who controls it? Was that how we got around it increasing both "Final Countdown"s?

I STILL sat it advances the turn count of the player controlling it, and all cards relevant to that player.

But I think the truth is simply NO, we never got a defnitive answer.

I think if both players controlled a Swords of Revealing Light, and one player was on turn 2 and the other player was on turn one, it would advance both players Swords of Revealing Light to turn 3 and turn 2.

And, there is more than these 3 cards...

Swords of Revealing Light
Lightforce Sword
Final Countdown

and

"Swords of Concealing Light"

What good would this card be if I couldnt use it to get rid of my opponent's Swords of Concealing Light earlier? Or even his Swords of Revealing Light?

It even says in the ruling that if both players have a Final Countdown on the same count, 19, that it would be a draw, so how is it only affecting one player???
