Ok i've got 2 questions after dueling some of my friends today. Lazy to start 2 new threads so I'm putting both in the same thread though they've nothing to do with each other.

1st question : If the only monster i have on the field is legendary fisherman and i have legendary ocean on the field, and my friend summons a monster, can he attack me directly since legendary fisherman is not a legal target?

2nd question : Can judgement of anubis negate giant trunade?

Thanks

thanks alot :) .. can anyone confirm all that? juz to make sure ;)

anyway, if legendary fisherman allows opponent to direct attack, then what about those 'locks' like soul absorbing bone tower, solar flare dragons or command knights.. what is the difference? What use is legendary fisherman then? :(

Fiendish Envoy was right on with both answer. As for the locks created by the monsters you mentioned, the lock is created by the effects of those monsters in combination with each other or another monster..

Command Knight:
As long as at least 1 other monster exists on your side of the field, your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. Also, as long as this card remains face-up on the field, increase the ATK of all Warrior-Type monsters by 400 points.

Solar Flare Dragon:
This card cannot be attacked if there is another Pyro-Type monster on your side of the field. This card inflicts 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points during the End Phase of your turn.

Soul Absorbing Bone Tower:
This card cannot be attacked if there is another Zombie-Type monster on your side of the field. Each time a Zombie-Type monster is Special Summoned successfully, send 2 cards from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard.

This would be a way to stop direct attack when using Legendary Fisherman:
If "Umi" is active and you have "The Legendary Fisherman" on the field, your opponent can attack directly. But if you have "Legendary Fisherman" and "Command Knight", and no other monsters, your opponent cannot attack directly because of "Command Knight", and cannot attack "Command Knight" because of his effect, and cannot attack "The Legendary Fisherman", so he cannot declare an attack (but can enter the Battle Phase to activate card effects).

just to reply, the Phrase 'Cannot declare an attack' here in the last post means that i cannot attack any monster, but if i have monsters that may attack directly regardless of the presence of monsters (such as the infamous Raging Flame Sprite), it may still do so.

Ok thanks guys, that cleared up some doubts. I think I'll be removing my legendary fisherman from my ocean deck!

Anyway, here's another Judgement of Anubis question :
Besides MST/Heavy storm/despell/rem trap, are there any other spells that can be affected by Judgement? How useful would you guys think judgement is in any deck since its so limited to spells that destroy s/t.

I think you covered it...

JoA only works on Magic/spell Cards that Destorys Magic/Spell, Trap cards.

I find that Curse of Royal is better since it covers Trap cards as well. The only cards you have to worry about are Heavy Storm and Giant Trunade.
