ie: you have TIV and Scapegoats, opponents doesnt have any beast type, can you discard and declare beast to clear the field?

i've heard ppl say you can, and also, i've heard that you cant

i know

"You CAN declare a Type that exists only on your opponent's side of the field. You CANNOT declare a Type that is not face-up on the field at all."

i've also heard that TIV can only declare Aqua since he is one himself.....

1) Soul Exchange targets. The reaper dies

2) The 'state' that Soul Exchange sets up becomes useless.

3) The player in control of the monsters chooses the order of the resolution of the effects. Standard SEGOC situation.

4) Boosted.

5) no idea, though there have been discussions on other threads about this.

6) you still get burnt for the atk of the monster summoned via Power Bond

7) Call of the Haunted stays on the field when the monster its attached to leaves the field in some way other than being destroyed.

Premature Burial cannot stay on the field unattached since its an equip spell.

8) The only thing you can't declare is a non-existent type amongst face-up monsters on the field.

It Spirit Reaper's 10th ruling in the Card Registry:

Vs. "Soul Exchange": Since "Soul Exchange" targets, "Spirit Reaper" is destroyed by its own effect before you can Tribute it.

2) chaining Mask of Restrict to Soul Exchange, what happens?
Mask of Restrict resolves first and then Soul Exchange resolves. But since Mask of Restrict is face-up on the field..well...refer to Mask's text.

3) player A plays sword of revealing light on player B, player B has morhping and cyber, who chooses?? player b??
Player B controls Cyber Jar and Morphing Jar. He decides which order to resolve each effect.

4)face down grave keeper, with Necrovalley played, and another player atks the F/D Grave keeper, does the grave keeper's defence get boosted?
Any Continuous ATK/DEF modifiers in play will be immediatley applied as soon as a monster becomes face-up on the field. This includes when it's flipped by an attacked.

5)can like the fusion subs like King of the Swamps count as fusion monster in the grave yard ?
I don't know what you mean. A Fusion Sub never counts as a Fusion Monster.

6) after activation of Power Bond, and you tribute that monster, via meta, or sacrificing etc, do you still take the original monster's atk?
Power Bond doesn't say anything about the monster haveing to be on the field. You will still take the damage if Power Bond successfully resolves.

7)when does Call of the Haunted and Premature Burial stay on the field?? like when u trib the monster??
Two different mechanics involed. Call of the Haunted is a Continuous Trap that gets destroyed by its own effect when the targeted monster is destroyed. Just "removing" the monster will leave Call on the field meaninglessly

Premature Burial is an Equip Card. If a monster equiped to an Equip Card is removed from the field in ANY way the equip is destroyed by Game Mechanics.

Tribe-Infecting Virus's only cares if the declared type is on the field. Not who's side of the field it's on. So yes, if you only control Tribe all you can declare is Aqua. Remember too that its an optional effect. You dont have to use it if you don't want to.

Right. Because Soul Exchange is a Normal Spell Card, (Spell Speed 1) and can only be activated during your Main Phases.

But if it's already resolved during your Main Phase 1, if an apropriate effect required you to tribute for somethiing during the Battle Phase, you could "resolve" the lingering effect of Soul Exchange. Much the same way you would do with the lingering effect of Last Will.

No.Dragon's Mirror specifical says to remove the Fusion Materials that are listed on a Fusion Monster...
Wait, I'm getting something...

Polymerization
"Send Fusion Material Monsters that are listed by a Fusion Monster Card from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, and Special Summon the Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck."

Doesn't that say the exact same thing? And can't you use Fusion Substitutes with it? Isn't that really the whole point of the Substitutes?

If they'd wanted to make it work specifically and solely with the proper Fusion Material Monsters, they'd have added, "All of the Fusion Material Monsters must be the correct ones."

Darklight, you can do what you suggested.

Thanks, Ive been having remorse for all the times Ive done the the fusion summon with Dragon's Mirror, and I won "cheating".
But my reasonig using The Dark - Hex-Sealed Fusion, for substite I think is correct. After all, this special summon IS A FUSION SUMMON.
