A few questions (And Hello)

Hello, I'm new to this forum... I frequent at GW, but I thought I'd try this place out... I have 3 questions

The main question is:
Does cards sent to the graveyard by the effect of "Bubble Crash" satisfy the condition of the card "Magical Thorn"?

And 2 minor questions:
Can you chain "Skill Drain" to the destruction of "Toon World" to protect your toons, or is the timing incorrect?

AND
Can a Toon/Dragon be Special Summoned by the effect of "The Flute of Summoning Dragon" if "Toon World" is currently in play. I think NO, but it doesn't say at the official page.

Thank You

Hello to you too! I also am new here and would like to answer your questions as best I can.

Q1:

I would say the answer is no, since 'Bubble Crash' SENDS the cards to the graveyard, it does not DISCARD them. The text on 'Magical Thorn' states the cards that are DISCARDED to the graveyard. The rulings have made clear distinctions between the two in the past.

Q2:

As long as you are not trying to chain during the damage step, I would say you could do this. Unless there is something with that whole "can't chain the effect of a Continuous Trap Card the same turn you activate it" thing that mucks this up.

Q3:

The only restriction on the Special Summon of 'Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon' is that 'Toon World' be face up on the field. Since we already know you can Special Summon higher level Dragons w/o Tributing them via 'Flute of Summoning Dragons' effect, then you SHOULD also be able to Summon a Toon/Dragon in the same manner provided 'Toon World' is face up on the field.

Hope this helps.

And anybody PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks.

There was an old ruling stating that you cannot use "The Flute of Summoning Dragon" to special summon "Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon" or "Manga Ryu Ran". I don't remember if it were in old Netrep files or from the mailing list though but that was the ruling back in the day.

Skey was correct for #1.

2. As long as you chain to the effect that is destroying Toon World, Skill Drain will resolve first and when Toon World gets destroyed, the Toon's effect is negated.

If however they chain to your Skill Drain with something that will destroy Toon World, then the toons will blow up at the same time that Toon World does.

BTW Skey, the situation you were thinking about does not apply if the continous trap has a continous effect (like skill drain). It only applies if the continous trap which has an ignition effect (such as Ultimate Offering).

3. Densetsu_x is correct.Toons can not be special summoned with the flute.
