I was asked my opinion by at least 5 players at the pre-release and my friend pointed it out to me.

"does pot of averice look like it has a Hitler stash?

You have to admit, it does. I find it a bit offensive myself. I was wondering, what was Konami thinking?

What does everyone else think about this?
 
Haven;t seen a pic of the card as of yet. But tehnically, from what I'm gleaning from your post, it is just a mustach. I don't see how that alone and a passing resemblance to Hitler could be considered offensive. That mustach is not neccasarily symonamous with Hitler. It could just as easily be said that Pot of Avarice looks like Charlie Chaplin.
 
Well like I said. Charlie Chaplin had the exact same mustach as Hitler. That doesn't make the everyone with the mustach an impersonator of Hitler.

Its not like hitler patened the mustache. I can understand why you are saying this but....exiledforcefreak I highly doubt that hitler did what he did because of his stache. If he had a gun you wouldn't say OMG HITLER GUN....again I understand what your saying but it doesn't mean anything offensive like a hilter in the card.
 
dude, there is no relation beetween the pot and hitler.

its just like DJ said, it could be chaplin. Dont get to into it dude, you know way to well that the cards get censored as much as possible and this just passed becuase when they saw it they only saw a pimped out pot which btw is actaully a JAR!
 
Yeah, I'd have to say that even if it does "resemble" a hitler Mustache, it in no way reflects the thinking that we have a Hitler-type card in Yugioh.

I mean, what if people disliked Jimmy Carter??? Pot of Greed suspisciously looks like Jimmy Carter's big toothy grin!!

I got to eat lunch with jimmy carter when I went to georgia to get away from the hurricanes...he has like 10 bodyguards....

now wouldn't it be more Appropriate to say that Hitler had a Chaplin Mustache since Charlie made it famous before the idiot did. And I do have to agree about Pot of Greed and Jimmy Carter. I didn't know that peanuts were that big in Japan.
 
well many people at pojo sed Lord of the Lamp looked like Stalin...who knows...mayb upper deck wants to let people make a communist deck for the heck of it with the use of Cold Waves and red moon babys and anything else with red in the name...

Has anyone seen that SouthPark episode where they are mocking Pokemon?? and the game was brainwashing the kids into trying to take out the US Government....... you never know... maybe ...... naahhhh... now if they come out with a Pearl Harbor card, i will believe it.... then again there are the People Running About and the other 2 cards that combo together for that Great Revolt or whatever it is.... hmmmm

I cant wait to see a Pot of Avarice card so i can see this Mustache..... hehhehe.... is there a link to it anywhere??

THIS is supposed to look like Hitler!!!?? Based soley on the mustahce??!!! Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. He is nothing even reminiscent of Hitler. He looks like the Genie in Disney's Aladdin.

You can find insults whereever you look IF you go seeking them in the first place, I very much doubt there was any intent by the artists, with any of the cards, to insult/make fun of anyone. Trying to find fault with the images in this way is the very reason the edit them for the UDE cards, hiding flesh, removing guns, etc...
