Appropriate

Can Dark World Lightning or Dealings activate Appropriate?

You can activate Appropriate after Dark World Lightning or Dark Dealings resolves. Any cards discarded after Appropriate activates and resolves will trigger the effect of Appropriate while it is still face up on the field.

Appropriate
Continuous Trap
You can activate this card when your opponent draws a card outside of his/her Draw Phase. After that, each time your opponent draws cards outside of his/her Draw Phase, you draw 2 cards.

Dark World Lightning
Normal Spell
Select 1 face-down card on the field and destroy it, and after that, select 1 card from your hand and discard it to the Graveyard.

Dark World Dealings
Normal Spell
Each player draws 1 card. Then each player discards 1 card.
Appropriate and Dark World Lightning do not work together at all.

You cannot activate Appropriate (flip it face-up) after Dark World Dealings resolves, because the last thing to happen is NOT your opponent drawing. It's like Graceful Charity. You miss the timing.

However, if you have Appropriate already active, and either player activates Dark World Dealings, you do (and must) draw 2 cards. You cannot miss the timing. Drawing your 2 cards cannot be chained to.

However, Forced Requisition and Dark World Lightning work well together.

Forced Requisition
Continuous Trap
You can activate this card when you discard from your hand. After that, each time you discard from your hand, your opponent must also discard the same number of cards from his/her hand.

Your cannot activate "Appropriate" after you activate "dark world dealings" since the last effect that resolves with "dark world dealings" is discarding, not drawing, and you miss the timing. But if you already have an active "Appropriate" face-up on the field, you can draw 2 cards after you activate "dark world dealings".

dark world lightning doesnt involve drawing so i dont know why you asked about that

I love how people repeat the exact same answers hours after other people have already posted them.

A point on the part I highlighted there, and something else I already said before:

You must draw 2 cards. There's no "if you want to" about it. You very much must draw 2 cards, even if you'll Deck Out because of it.

Excuse me...has anyone seen my brain lying around? I left it somewhere before I posted my answer....lol...yes, I was thinking of Forced Requisition when I answered, not Appropriate. If found, please return to owner...don't worry about it's appearance- it's already damaged. Thank you.

If your opponent uses Dark World Lightning, you can activate Forced Requisition (flip it face-up) after it resolves, since the discard was the last thing to happen.

You can activate Forced Requisition (flip it face-up) after Dark World Dealings (yours or your opponents) resolves, because the last thing to happen is you discarding from your hand.

HorusMaster: I thought that was what you meant. It's a mean combo and great idea too! As for the slip-up, I was doing that all last week. Looked like a n00b! Very disheartening.

Maruno:
Correction...you accidentally said "If your opponent uses Dark World Lightening..." But if the opponent uses it, it won't make you discard, so you cannot flip Forced Requisition (activate) at that time.

that wasnt there before so i was adding on to it not simply restating what you said, either you recently editited on or I simply read over it, and it was an accident that i put can because i know you must draw two. I normally dont read over my posts >_<

DarkRiku, as of today you have 17 posts. Remembering most of the posts I have seen since you joined, over half of them are just restating answers that have already been given. Confirmation is one thing, but read over the thread entirely before posting a reply. And then, if you agree with an answer previously given, give credit to or quote that post in your own. It's good practice and looks better on yourself (at least the way I see things). And I am not the only one who thinks this way.....

True. Well, at least without crediting the original answer. Like I said, confirmation sometimes is appreciated.

No, you draw 2 cards each time your opponent draws 1 or more cards (each draw event, as I've decided just now to call it).

If Morphing Jar's effect activated, your opponent draws 5 cards, but that was only one draw event, so you only draw 2 cards because of Appropriate.
