Archfiend Gilfer sent to Graveyard as an Equip

With Archfiend of Gilfer being treated as an equip Spell card, does the effect of Gilfer trigger when the monster it is equiped to is removed from the field?

because send gilfer to grave upon the removal of the monster he is currently equipped is the last thing to happen

DD warrior lady(example) would RFG a monster after the damage calculation but before the step a monster is supposed to go to grave(step 5)

so tha last thing that happen is gilfer be sent to grave
