As if we don't have enough spoiler info.

Strike of Neos isn't even out here yet, Force of the Breaker isn't even out in Japan, yet... we have some early info on the set after that. Gotta love spoilers. (From dmcomet.net, where else).

Tactical Evolution
To be release 5/12/2007
Total 80 cards, 5 Ultra, 9 Super, 18 Rare, 48 Common
5 cards per pack

Features:
- New category of monster after Union, Spirit, etc.
- Strategy and Collectibility improve with more cards
- Higher enclosing rate of Ultra Rare cards
- New Rare card that surpass Ultimate Rare
- Rainbow Dragon (used by Johan Andersen) is included

Ok, I don't know the significance of the "Rainbow Dragon" (though I'm sure someone will fill me in). But the fact that there's 20 more cards in the set and supposedly a better rate at pulling the rares. Without knowing the cards in the set, it's just looking like this will be the 3rd set in a row that's featuring some serious redesigns within the game. Here's hoping.

*EDIT*

I figured out the Rainbow Dragon reference.

Looks like we have until August or so to redesign RONIN yet again :D A new monster category ... my interest is piqued.

Sure wish you'd include card pictures in RONIN. Pretty please?

RONIN's purpose is "Rulings" (as in the first word of what RONIN stands for).

If you want pictures, get Deck Studio.

Deck Studio 0.5 Beta is all I see available and it hasn't been updated for a long time so it's missing many cards. Am I missing something?

Roger on that... thanks. I'll not be patient. :D :crying But, then again, God wants to teach me patience so maybe this is a good thing.

I like the sound of 80 card sets. It gives players more avenues for creativity, and enhances the game's playability. Looking forward to more news as it trickles down.

An 80 card set is more likely to have more support for older themes. Remember when we were promised more Amazoness, Gravekeepers, etc. support? Perhaps it's coming...

And for one, I'd like to see more Vehicroid Fusions. They don't even need to be good - just exist.

I don't like 5 cards per pack, though. 15, perhaps (hoping it's a typo) would be great.

Ah! Perhaps (entirely just a thought) this new Monster Card category might be "Exclusive". Meaning, all monsters in a Deck with an "Exclusive" monster in it must be the same Type or Attribute as the "Exclusive" monster (depending on the effect) (and max. 1 "Exclusive" monster per Deck).

Just a thought. It'd be nice, though. Make the "Exclusive" monsters powerful, and people will start doing themed Decks (so no more splashing a Cyber Dragon just because). Also, make the "Exclusive" monsters ONLY for underused Monster Types, so Machines and Warriors don't go any more rampant than they already are. That'd be great.

Wishful thinking, but great.

5 Cards per pack won't be back if it's $2 / pack like the Duelist Pack packs.
Being an Englander, even if I become interested in buying them, they'll probably be £2 each. Two pounds. That's nearly four of your dollars. It's all because of the metric system.

Or something.

In America.

:p

Remember guys that this info is for release in Japan and Asia. Over there, every original set pack has 5 cards, so it is the norm for them. When UDE actually distributes them, it will probably be 9 cards per pack.

lol... I was going to mention that when this thread was first posted, but I figured everyone would have caught on to the fact that there was "30 packs" instead of 24.

Yeah it's one of the few things in England that doesn't get screwed by the VAT... >.>

IF UDE decides to grace us with the release, I'm hoping they'll bump it up to 9. Doesn't help when Wizards of the Coast shovel out 15 cards for the same price.
