battle phase clarification and Return from the different dimention

First of all I want to make sure that I can enter my battle phase even if I don't have any monster of my side of the field and then....this is my real question : I enter my battle phase without any monster on my side of the field and then I activate Return from the different dimension , no response from my opponent , then I summon , along with other monsters , a Pitch-black warwolf (or a mirage dragon , it's almost the same ) , can my opponent activate torrential tribute now?

The same with call of the haunted on the warwolf / mirage dragon , can my opponent activate torrential tribute?

You do not need a monster that can attack to enter your battle phase.

If Warwolf or Mirage Dragon is special summoned during the Battle Phase, your opponent can't activate Torrential Tribute.
