battle position v final attack order

there is a face up Final Attack Orders on the field.
NTP only has a set Zero Gravity.
TP summons a monster and declares an attack to NTP's LP
NTP activates zero gravity.

zero grav resolves.

tp's monster is put into def, then due to FAO, put right back into attack.
does that attack still go through?
or does battle end because the attacking monster was put into def?

IIRC, there was a Judges' List post that said it would go through.

IIRC = If I remember correctly. I managed to figure it out reading that same post. And once again I'm stuck wondering if it's really that much trouble to write out that little phrase in full. The same goes for Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.
