Isn't it true that black luster can only activate his effect during main phase 1?

not necesserally.

if bls-e doesnt attack then it can later in MP2 still remove a monster.

the effect of removing a monster is only taken off when bls-e attacks, but if it never attacks then it still has a chance to remove a monster after the battle phase in main phase 2 cause its an effect that only activates in main phase.

before I even got your repsonse I forgot that I could go to upperdeck then look it up yeah I learned a few tricks about black luster...

if I remove something flip him face down and flip him face up I can remove again.
