Black Luster Soilder (envoy) vs: Spirit Elimination

Hey,

If I play spirit elinimination and try to remove light and dark, can I use the magic card to use substitutes as long as the requirements for black luster are in my graveyard? I hope this is worded good enough to get the proper assistance.

You don't need the monsters in the Graveyard if you are going to use Spirit Elimination. You would just need one LIGHT and one DARK monster on your side of the field to remove from play. The wording is awkward, but look at it sort of like the Soul Exchange of your Graveyard and field. (hope that comparison doesn't confuse anyone).
