blast with chain vs.Freed

Check this one please. Can Freed the Matchless General destroy a Blast with Chain card equipped to him, so then I could activate blast with chain effect?

Blast with Chain would be negated and destroyed by the effect of Freed the Matchless General. The effect of Blast with Chain will not work.

If you equip it with blast with chain, it's effect will be negated so uehm, you can not destroy a card on the field
