Call of the Haunted Vs. Jinzo

Ok, I'm on YVD right now, dueling necross3001.

He/she says I cannot Special Summon Jinzo with the effect of Call of Haunted, also says Call of the Haunted is negated and destroyed. Which I know isn't true.

As he/she wants an official ruling, I need a second opinion.

Well, Call of the Haunted resolves, eh? Summons Jinzo. Jinzo THEN negates Call of the Haunted, due to the fact that CotH summons a monster at resolution

sure you can.
call is mostly used for jinzo or sangan (chaining when getting destroyed)

By the way, Jinzo doesn't destroy traps, it only negates them.
To add to chaosruler's comment, Jinzo + Call can also be used to negate traps in a chain.

The indisputable proof from the UDE FAQ:

You can activate "Premature Burial" to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard, and then this card's effect will negate and destroy "Premature Burial". "Freed the Matchless General" will not be destroyed since the effect of "Premature Burial" was negated by his effect.


Continuous negation effects don't happen while a monster is in the graveyard. Just replace Freed with Jinzo and Premature with Call. Edit: (and remove the small part)

Also note that Premature and Call have the same effect when King Dragun or Lord of D are on the field and you use either Call or Premature on a dragon in the graveyard.
