I'm a little confuzzled with this:

Flip all face-down Defense Position monsters on the field face-up. Flip Effects are not activated at this time. Inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each Effect Monster on the field.
Okay:
1. When the monsters are flipped face-up, is it in attack mode or defense mode?
2. Flip Effects are not activated at this time.This has to be one of the most ambiguous sentences I've ever seen on a YGO card. What exactly does it mean by at this time? They activate later? Tomorrow? During the first part of the next duck entourage that flies overhead?
