TextDeclare 1 Monster Card name. If your opponent Normal Summons, Special Summons, or flips that monster(s) face-up, remove that monster(s) and this card from play. turn player activates advanced ritual art targeting demise.non turn play chains cloak and dagger, upon resolving cloak and dagger decloars demise. when demise hits the field will the turn player still retain priority to activate demise's effect? Or will demise be removed from play with out effect? thanks

Priority is only retained by the turn player when a triggered event does not activate. This is why there is no Priority option after summoning a monster like Zaborg, Breaker, a Gadget, etc. or if there is an active effect like Stumbing or Cloak and Dagger. So assuming that Demise is the only Ritual Monster in their hand and you chain Cloak and Dagger then that will automatically activate first before the turn player can do anything else.

I don't think it targets. It doesn't target a specific card, just a name, and that's not the definition.

Presumably using Cloak and Dagger to declare Proto-Cyber Dragon or Harpie Lady 2 is pointless, since there'll never be a card with that name on the field (unless Skill Drain is active).

My intent was King Dragun. This kid at local tourney plays a quite interesting and well built Dragon Deck with BEWD and Flute of Summoning Dragon, but also plays King Dragun in it. I lose to the deck when he gets King Dragun out most of the time.

But if this works on him, I think I just lost to it for the last time!!!
