Just Wondering If U have A Cyber Jar Face Down & A CED On Your Side Of the Field & Ur Opponent Activates Swords Of Revealing Light. Cyber Jars Effect Activates. Was Wondering Can You Chain To The Activation Of Cyber Jars Effect With CED. Resolving. Cyber Jar Goes Back To Ur Hand & Cyber Jar's Effect Goes Through???

TY In Advance

that is because divine wrath has a spell speed 3 being a counter trap.
CED cannot be chained to cyber jars effect because its just a normal trap with a spell speed 2

heres comparisons:
example 1 (chaining CED to swords)
Chain 1: Swords of Revealing Light
Chain 2: CED

resolving:
Chain 2: CED returns Cyber jar to owners hand
Chain 1: Swords of Revealing Light does not flip cyber jar because cyber jar is no longer in the field

example 2 (chaining divine wrath to cyberjar's effect)
Chain 1: Swords of Revealing Light
::no response on both players::
Chain 1: Cyber Jar Flips
Chain 2: Divine Wrath

resolving:
Chain 2: Divine Wrath negates cyber jar's effect and destroying it
Chain 1: Cyber Jar's effect disappears because it is negated and no longer in the field

example 3 (chaining CED to cyber jar's effect)
Chain 1: Swords of Revealing Light
::no response on both players::
Chain 1: Cyber Jar Flips
Chain 2: CED

resolving:
Chain 2: CED returns cyber jar to owners hand
Chain 1: Cyber jar is no longer present to be flipped for its effect

thats how i understand it, anyone feel free to correct me

The flip itself cannot be stopped except by Solemn or possibly Divine Wrath. CEDev would have no effect here as Cyber Jar resolves as a separate chain of its own. Cyber Jar would disappear from the field before CEDev I believe could stop it.

{start opinion}
I would say that CED would return Cyber Jar to the hand (Since Cyber Jar is a flip effect, it would be a chainable event). If I flip over Magician of Faith and you replied with Torrential Tribute, I would still get a Spell card because MoF was flipped. And if you look at the ruling for Cyber Jar Vs. Skill Drain, it says that as long as Skill Drain is on the field, Cyber Jar's effect would be negated. But if you flipped Cyber Jar (either manually or through Swords) while Skill Drain was on the field, and then chained Book of Moon to put Cyber Jar face down, then the effect of Cyber Jar would resolve as normal (because Cyber Jar is now face-down at the resolution and no longer affected by Skill Drain).

Correct?
Incorrect?
Opinions?

You could chain CED to Cyber Jar and return Cyber Jar to your hand but that would not negate Cyber jar's effect
You could chain CED to Swords of Revealing Light to prevent Cyber Jar from being fliped

You can't chain to Cyber Jar's effect when it is being flipped by Swords because the flip happens while Swords is resolving. You can't chain to a flip effect that is started in the middle of another chain. Solemn Judgment will stop Cyber Jar if you Flip Summon it. You can't Solemn Judgment or Divine Wrath if Cyber is flipped by an effect like Swords or Desert Sunlight.

So if you Flip Summoned Cyber Jar and then chained with CED you would indeed get Cyber Jar back in hand and then resolve Cyber Jar to pick up 5 cards and summon the level 4 and lower.
