Cyber jar, self destuction?

Let's say we have a face down defense mode Cyber Jar and it is attacked b a monster capable of killing it in that battle. Since Cyber Jar is deemed to have been destroyed before its flip effect activates, does Cyber Jar still destroy itself when its flip effect resolves? Or does it remain face up until its flip effect has resolved and is destroyed as a result of battle?

Although Cyber Jar was destroyed as a result of battle, it remains on the field until Sub-Step 6 of the Damage Step, whereas it's effect resolves in Sub-Step 5 and so it is still on the field and destroys itself, along with all other monsters, when it's effect resolves.
Kinda curious as to why this would ever matter?

I believe the first line of Cyber Jar's effect (which resolves in sub step 5) is "Destroy all monsters on the field" so in this case Cyber Jar is destroyed and sent to the graveyard before cards are drawn and before sub step 6 where monsters destroyed in battle would normally be sent to the graveyard.
