Cyber Jar & Soul Absorbing Bone Tower

Hi guys, here's some questions about the interaction of cyber jar's effect and soul absorbing bone tower's effect together.

Here's a scenario from my game with a friend using my zombie deck.

1. When I attack my opponent's f/d cyber jar, its effect is activated. Do i get to start the effect first? (I assumed this answer was yes)

2. Since I was turn player, I assume i had priority and so i picked up 5 cards first. The order i picked was Book of Life, Robbin Zombie, Pyramid Turtle, Soul Absorbing Bone Tower and Regenerating Mummy. One question is, can I chose which monster to summon first, or do i have to special summon them in accordance to the sequence i picked the cards? After I special summon SABT, and i special summon the next monster, does it's effect come into play?

3. Now the next question arises. Although i have priority, if the SABT effect DOES work when i special summon my zombies, was my opponent supposed to pick his 5 cards first? or discard the cards from the effect before his picking?

4. Now, after you all explain steps 1-3 to me, here goes the second part - my opponent's turn. I have DNA surgery on the field face up, set to zombie type. Does any monsters my opponent summon activate SABT's effect?

Other questions:
5. Does SABT's effect work ONCE like coffin seller's in the case of cyber jar's effect, or will I get the benefit of every special summon?

6. For cyber jar, if i pick a special summon monster like inferno, i know i can't special summon that. does it go to the graveyard or back to my hand.

Thanks alot :) I know my questions are kinda very based on my own assumptions so please correct me if i'm wrong in anyway. :D

1) The non-turn player goes first. The drawing/summoning portion of Cyber Jar is considered a simultaneous effect, so your drawing goes as chain link 1. Your opponents drawing will be chain link 2.

2) I believe you can choose the order in which you special summon them to the field. But remember, Cyber Jar's effect must fully resolve first, so any effects that activate when the monsters are special summoned won't occur until after everything in Cyber Jar is done.

3) Your opponent would have to have picked up their cards first, going back to issue 2 again because Cyber Jar has to fully resolve first before other effects begin to activate (kind of like when your Sangan's and WoTBs are wiped out due to Cyber, you don't search until Cyber is done).

4) Yes, if DNA surgery is activated, then you will get the discard effects for SABT

5) I believe you will get SABT's effect only once since multiple zombies are being special summoned simultaneously.

6) The remaining cards not Special Summoned from Cyber stay in your hand.

Hope this helps!

I miss the warning of when someone else posts...

For the record, ALL of the questions about "Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower" were already answered in the UDE FAQ.

Again, just an encouragement for people to check out the public resources first.

It is answered in the FAQ and if you don't want to go to the official site you can use the 'card registry' tool in the web tools drop down.

Having given that information here is the answer to the original question (from the FAQ).

"If "Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower" and several other Zombie-Type monsters are Special Summoned simultaneously (with "Cyber Jar"), that Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower's effect is not applied."

This card cannot be attacked if there is another Zombie-Type monster on your side of the field. Each time a Zombie-Type monster is Special Summoned successfully, send 2 cards from the top of your opponent''s Deck to the Graveyard.

"4. Now, after you all explain steps 1-3 to me, here goes the second part - my opponent's turn. I have DNA surgery on the field face up, set to zombie type. Does any monsters my opponent summon activate SABT's effect? "

since it dont specify in the text of the card, any zombie SPECIAL sumoned would triguer the efct of "Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower"

however the monster is turned in a zombie AFTER the sumon is completed by DNA surgery

so you will have 2 continuous efcts checking the sumons

since continuous efcts cannot resolve in a chain

i wonder which one should kick first

"6. For cyber jar, if i pick a special summon monster like inferno, i know i can't special summon that. does it go to the graveyard or back to my hand."

monsters that dont fit into the conditions to be special sumoned by cyber jar should go to hand instead

What are the continuous effects you are talking about? SABT is a trigger effect not a continuous effect. The only Continuous Effect is the DNA Surgery. And yes if DNA surgery is on the field and a monster is summoned, then it will trigger SABT.

HOWEVER as I said eariler, if they are summoned at the same time as SABT (such as during Cyber Jar's resolution) then SABT's effect is not triggered.
